I received a Venator from Seismic along with a Raging Bull Stampede! I was planning on drilling it pin up as recommended by Seismic. I received a ball with a 2-3" pin and I did the pin up layout and I talked myself out of it! I opted for my favorite layout with a 40deg x 3-3/4" x 55deg, which places the pin in my ring finger and the MB on my VAL. I used a P3 weight hole and this ball is what others are saying about it! I'm a low track bowler with a high axis rotation and I had from 15 to 5 and when I didn't strike it was a 9 pin! My pap is from 4-1/4 to 4-1/2 depending on the ball and strength of core! To see what the ball would do with others, I let several guys test the ball. One is a very high track player that the first oil ring is right next to middle finger and thumb. The other is a young man that very tall with very high ball speed and tracks between myself and the high track player! They both struck at will and had as much room as I was seeing! Several of their pitches I would have bet the farm that it was to far right and they would get about a 7 count! Each time they both were striking and had a lot of room. I'm not on Seismic staff and not getting a thing for this review, but this ball is amazing! Same ball, three different styles of bowlers and all of us was getting the same results in regards to ball reaction! We did leave a 10 pin once and that's when the high track player moved to 35 and went out to about 7 at the range finder/Brunswick Pro Anvil lanes. The lanes was fresh with a modified Stone Street at 41' and about 23ml of oil! Yes we left some 9 pins and several 4-9's, but it was amazing to see the reaction each of us had with the same ball! I use Grip-Loc interchangeable thumbs so others can test the balls I drill! I did take pictures to show the cover stock thickness for those wanting to know that info! The fingers was right at 1/2" thick, thumb and weight hole was about 7/16" thick and it's comparable to other manufacturers cover thickness! This is my first time testing a Seismic ball and tomorrow I'm drill the Stampede and post my finding on it! The Venator is a very nice ball from Seismic and I hope others have the opportunity to test one and see for themselves that it's the real deal! Just my $.02, Bruce
