Requiem vs aftermath

Which one would you recommend for heavier oil patterns?
Which one has a better read at the breakpoint?

thanks in advance.

I would honestly recommend both for heavy oil patterns, but the requiem is stronger than the aftermath so I would recommend it for heavier oil.

Really?  Looking at the specs I would have thought the aftermath to be stronger, but was leaning towards the requiem due to it being  symetrical.  It's for a stroker friend of mine. slightly below ave revs, about 50 degrees rotation, tilt i would guess to be around 25*

Thanks for the reply.  anyone else?

The Requiem was their OILER, for quite a while. Consider its very low RG core (2.48") and low grit surface (P1000 grit). From their web site: "Oil Condition:                   Heavy and Longer Oil".
The Aftermath has the more modern asymmetric core which allows a lot more drilling options but the higher RG core (2.52") and a lot finer surface (P4000 grit).

While you could take the Aftermath down to P1000 grit, I think its original intent was more flexibility for medium to medium-heavy oils with a lot more backend. In their own words, "Oil Condition:                   Medium Oil Long Patterns to Heavy Oil".

Requiem is better for oil between the two. It has  a smoother read and is easier to control on tighter/heavier oil patterns. The AfterMath as mentioned above is more of a Versatile ball it is more angular off the spot handles more types oil patterns than the Requiem, however on truly heavy oil the AfterMath wants to be a little to angular which can lead to some pretty interesting designs down by the pins.

mainzer hit it on the head.  I had both and they had the reactions that mainzer talks about.  The Requiem was a true heavy oil ball, handled a butt load of oil and had a nice consistent, controllable roll to it.

Thanks to all who responded.  Requiem has been drilled.  My friend will roll it on sat.   After which we can determine the x hole placement.
