Venator coming in Hot
« on: August 20, 2013, 12:23:12 AM »
On the new Badger pattern i shot 223 256 234 and 222 for 935

I had a better look and more room right and left then guys using Storm, Brunswick and DV8. Had better hitting power as well

amazing carry on high and light hits all night this ball is the real deal, if you don't beleive it hooks i was hooking it on 52 foot pattern tonight.

Nice.  I've noticed that I'm able to play a different area of the lane than I've ever been able to play with my Venator and Long Horn.  They're so clean through the fronts that you can saw on them and float them through the heavy stuff, but they still make the turn.  They don't roll early or roll out, they don't puke on dry, and they don't get soft or flat in heavy stuff.

Amazing, sounds like this ball somehow defies the laws of physics.

I bowled a tournament two weeks ago on Badger. NO ONE was hooking the ball on the fresh. One guy with a lot of hand had a Brunswick Fury at what he said was 180 grit and it didn't hook either.

This ball hooks on that pattern with a shiny surface? And it doesn't burn up either? Really?  ???

I believe Mainzer knocked the shine off his Venator.

My Venator is at 1000 abralon. Four guys were all playing the same spot so we opened them up nice but my look stayed longer than the other guys did. They also had issues getting their stuff to face and finish Venator faced up easy and still had plenty left for the pins.

So as I understand it, you are saying the ball could out hook everything else on the fresh, but still didn't hook out/roll out once the pattern opened up and the other four guys ball was no longer finishing?

That must be one amazing ball.

Seriously Milo, I'm still figuring out mine.  It's counter-intuitive.  I'm a pro shop guy so I have to be realistic and objective.  Realistically and objectively, it's a really good, versatile ball.  In this world of "heavy midlane roll," it's hard to remember when balls had clean length and energy for a nice backend turn.  It almost feels like throwback equipment with new style consistency.  I'm impressed.

am i not allowed to state what I see on the lane? I bumped in about 4 boards total all night. One guy had a MarvelS another a Meanstreak Brawler. I started my ball speed slow when we started and I let the speed pick up as I went I am sure it helped the line I had hold longer than others.

Keep in mind this pattern is 52 feet long, to say it breaks down is a lie it really doesnt change much we opened about 3-4 board area in 4 games using dull equipemt. when we started I had a easier time getting Venator to face, as the area opened up and i did bump a bit i had a hair more miss room right than others. I really don't know what you want me to say here I am stating how the ball performed on a very difficult pattern.
Drill one up give it a shot you will be surprised as well unless you have already decided to not like it.

I have nothing against the ball, nor the company. I own and use a Dominion.

I also use a lot of Motiv stuff, but I don't buy the hype their staffers gush out with every new release either.

I understand that staffers are supposed to help sell product. You need to understand that overselling the capability of a ball doesn't help the company in the long run.

However, if that's what you saw, that's what you saw.

I know the pattern, I bowled on it a couple of weeks ago.

If you want proof of the line i played and the guys i bowled with and their gear I will give you my pro shop operators email address and he can verify he was the guy throwing the Marvel S last night.

I am sorry it upsets you that I am posting about my successful set last night. And that adjustments made during transition you find unbelievable.
