Wanting to try Seismic
« on: January 31, 2010, 01:58:30 AM »
I am thinking about trying Seismic. My current arsenal consists of a Cell Pearl, Mutant Cell, and Natural. What ball in the Seismic line up would give me a look i don't have? I am speed dominant. Thanks

I can''t speak for the other balls, but the Desperado is quite a step up from the Natural. About 3-5 boards of total hook and mostly on the  midlane and backend. These two have actually become my first balls out of my bag! If the Natural @ 4000 AB isn''t enough, the Desperado @ 2000 AB will usually be. I actually find few conditions that are too slick for the desperado @ 2000 AB. But is still has that great urethane control of the backend. I am a low speed/ rev dominant bowler. I can''t say enough good things about the Desperado, and when money allows I want to try an Epicenter. I think everyone should own a Desperado!

Give them a try, you might like them. I have the Solaris, Requiem and a Desperado waiting at UPS to be delivered tomorrow. (I love tracking boxes) The Requiem could give you a different look. It's a nice ball.

Seismic is pretty good stuff IMO. Just as good as any of the bigger companies. I think the Solaris would Match a Cell Pearl pretty well. The Solaris maybe a little faster off the spot and may cover a board two more. My Solaris is drilled Rico and it still has a good angular change in direction down lane as long as their is no carry down.

The Requiem is a animal in a class by itself. Really cool ball reaction somewhat different IMO gives a look similar to a Invasion rolls in the oil but still has alot left for the backend. it is kinda different really.

Desperado is pretty cool, great when the lanes become a mess late in a tourney or if you are dealing with second shift oil will allow you to play flatter line and still carry with the power of reactive ball. also a great choice if you are on Cheetah, or if you have enough friction the Viper or even Chameleon fresh.

The carry is incredible with these they are not brawlers at the pins like MoRich''s stuff or L/LM But they Seismic gets the pins down consistently I see a marked difference when using their stuff compared to my Craze or Ravage VII from MoRich or Pure and Ultra Tactics from AZO

drrev glad you like it! I have mine setup pin over ring mb out about 1 inch and it is great. I love to use it in tourneys once the lanes have blowen up and every one is running left I can stand a little right and just loop it into the hole carries like a dream to.
