What pro shops do you recommend in Houston?
Does anyone know anything about Windfern Lanes?
Thanks!

There are many good choices of pro shops in Houston:

Bowling Dynamix owned by Mike Austin near Palace Lanes (SW Houston)

Carol "Stormin" Norman's Pro Shop in Del Mar Lanes run by Carol Norman and Donna Conners (NW Houston)

Gary James Bowling Supplies in Copperfield Bowl (NW Houston)

Striking Results Pro Shop run by Brian Viator in Armadilla I Lanes (Pasadena/SE Houston)

If you are near AMF Windfern, Stormin' Norman's shop is real close off of 290.  I don't know anything about Windfern since I am predominantly on the south side of town.

Thanks. I'm looking for someone who can fit and drill up several bowling balls - working with a group down there. Not sure how it's all going to work out - I'll know more Monday. Close to Windfern is probably the best option, and I know Carol will take care of these guys. They're all beginners.

If you have a group, I would recommend Mike Austin at Bowling Dynamix.  I will always recommend Carol and Donna, but they can be quite busy.  I feel Mike get a group finished a little quicker.  Mike drills my stuff and has been top notch.  He just re-established his pro shop after moving back to Houston from Oklahoma.

Plus, he is a fellow Ball Reviews member and can be located here.

I personally know the pro shop owner and manager at Windfern Lanes.  Chip Irion owns the pro shop and has worked on my equipment for several years.  He also owns the pro shop at Times Square in Katy.  Give him a try, you will be very pleased with the service and work.

Do you have contact info for Chip? I'm not local to Houston - I'm trying to set up stuff for a group I'm working with.
