SOUTHERN MO BOWLERS TOUR ANOUNCES SHEDULE CHANGES
FESTUS, MO, October 12, 2011: SOUTHERN MO BOWLERS TOUR by MOTIV is proud to announce a few schedule changes; with the reception that we have received we have decided to add three new tour stops to this year’s tour. Since the tour was announced on September 1st we have had tremendous response from houses expressing interest in what we are trying to create with this tour. With this in mind we want to welcome everyone with open arms but at the same time stay within our limits for our inaugural tour.
With the help and support of our great sponsors in MOTIV and Score More Pro Shop we are pleased to announce the addition of K&C Bowl in Perryville, Mo, Red Bird Lanes in Cahokia, IL and King Pin Lanes in Bridgeton, MO. On Saturday February 25 Red Bird Lanes will take center stage with a 1pm start time. Red Bird famously known for its annual Holiday Doubles (Dec 17, 18) which usually attracts some of the best bowlers in the country. With the event At Red Bird being our first event over the river in IL we will move on over to King Pin Lanes in Bridgeton, Mo the following day Sunday February 26 with a 12 pm start time for our traditional 6 games of qualifying and 600+ to win setting up our second double header weekend of the year
On March 24 2012 the tour will roll into K&C Bowl in Perryville, Mo for $600 to win with a 1pm start time. For those of you that remember Perryville was once part of the old SMBA days and we look forward to bringing back a good quality tournament to that center. With the addition to Perryville this will set up a double dipping weekend with Arnold Bowl hosting its tour date on Sunday March 25. We feel with the two events just being an hour apart from one another this will help some of our traveling bowlers with the extra chance at some great money.
With the addition of these three events this will bring our tour to a 15 different houses for a total of 16 tour stops all concluding with the season finale June 3, 2012 at Quonset lanes in Crystal City Mo for our summer sizzler with a cool $1,000 on the line for singles and $500 for doubles as well as the crowning of our inaugural champion. Each event will pay a min $600.00 to win with a cash ratio of ¼ all on a modest $60.00 entry fee. This will also allow bowlers a little breathing room for our chase for tour champion with the addition of these events this will give our bowlers some extra events to earn tour points in with a minimum of ten events needed to be eligible for the season long point fund money as well as the chance at a tour exemption.
