47 foot pattern. outsides are pretty wet then the pattern tappers on the inside, but not a reverse block. I tested the pattern yesterday and all can say is spares are very important. No strike fest, has not been since I have run this tournament.

Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time at your tournament.

You had everything in order and the shot was challenging for most of the squads.

The only question I have is why did you not pay the 5k that was guaranteed? If you got the entries that you needed, why was it not paid? I understand changing it if you don't get the entries but why give people options when they sign up. If you advertise at 5k guaranteed, then that is what you should pay.

I am not complaining, I am just asking a question.

Budda, the biggest reason I did that was because many people have complained in the past about making it to Sunday and staying over night and only receiving there money back, the cash payout was better that way in my opinion. Still you have to look at like this $3,000 for first was still 30 times your money back, and if you made it to the top 10 you were looking at 5 times your money. The other payout paid good for the first 4 spots but after that it was almost breaking even. Out of the 95 votes received 65 voted for the option 2 prize fund. I will be having another tournament this summer and I have already come up with a better prize fund than this one that will be paid out, I will not have prize fund voted on again, I did it this time to see what most bowlers where looking for. Again you have to remember you are only paying $100.00 to bowl that event so the payout cannot be a monster all the way across, with sponsors dropping every year its tuff to even do what I do, it actually cost me to run the event this year, but with some changes I am making for the next event it should be good for everyone. below are some details about this tournament, tell me what you think?

Entry fee will be $ 120.00

Still 6 game qualifying block

Top 2 qualifiers will be guaranteed a spot in the top 20 regardless of score from every squad !!!!!

Oil Pattern will go back to what it was last year, seems the lanes played to easy this time.

3 squads on Saturday - 2pm - 5pm - 9pm

Sunday - 10am then finals will start @ 2pm

Top 20 will advance and cash regardless of entries - pin fall will carry over to another 3 game block, after that top 10 will bowl 1 game with pin fall still carry over, then top 5 for stepladder finals.

Thank you for your explaination, and you are right, the payout was better for those who cashed.

Since you changed the prize fund, I made more money that what I would have if it would have stayed the same.

I just felt the need to ask cause everyone was talking about it on the way home.

Like I said, you run a great tournament and the one in August sounds great. I will be sure to return for that one.

I have already sent a text to everyone that when down with me last weekend and they have all responded with the intention of making the long drive once again.

Thanks again for your response and looking forward to another great tournament.
