Scratch Tournaments-PBA pattern
« on: November 08, 2010, 04:02:09 AM »
For those in the Tampa, Fl area, including surrounding regions, there is a scratch tournament, put on every week or two at different AMF houses around the area.  These are PBA patterns or at least sport shot compliant last time I checked.  The info is at www.scratchsweeper.com

It really depends.  I have seen as little as twenty and as many as forty or fifty.  The payout is based on entries so if you look at the results on the website, the more payouts the more entrants.  With the holidays there arent as many tournaments, and I try to go when i am in town.  I will be there for the jan 7 tournament.

I think scratch should be on pba or sport shots. Let's not have it be a carry contest. I wish it was like that here.

The tournaments have come a long way since it started a couple of years ago.  It used to be at house that didnt clean the backends so that made carry tough.  Now that it has moved, its been a lot better.  There are quite a few people that come over, even some of the guys at kegel.  Now they have sponsors for each one with guaranteed first place prize money.  If they could just promote it better that would be great.
