Does anyone know where the Southeast will be this year?
-
Has anyone bowled in either of the two houses? What is the shot like ... wood or synthetic? AMF Master Lanes or Brunswick National Lanes. I will be heading down next weekend July 11 and 12.

I've been to the Southeastern for the last 5 years, and I have yet to find much oil, any shift. I go this weekend (11th-12th July) and am expecting more of the same. If anybody has already bowled, and found much more than dry to medium-dry... please let me know.

AMF Masters - Not a bad shot. If you don't have the fresh oil or the re-oil, it will be D-R-Y quick. Even with the oil, it can break down quickly. The middle part of the lane is very dry to start with, so pulled shots cross the headpin with ease. I found a dry board on 12 that I could play with some consistency much of the set. Lousy Air Conditioning so dress accordingly.
Brunswick national - Good shot. I bowled 2nd shift and had plenty of oil for all 6 games. Scores much better here. Little longer pattern but had plenty of area to play. Better Air Conditioning by far.
Also, Augusta doesn't have a ton of great restaurants. If you're looking for something good, look up Boll Weevils in downtown Augusta.
