Sacramento-Area bowlers,

I am happy to announce that the Thursday Night Shootout league is back for the 2015-16 season at AMF Rocklin Lanes! We will have our league meeting on September 3rd, 2015 at 6pm, and then bowl our first week following the meeting.

For those of you who have not bowled this league before, it's a perfect mix of a fun yet competitive bowling environment. Here's an overview of the league details:
 - The league will be handicapped and USBC Sanctioned.
 - 4 person mixed teams (any combination: 4 men or 4 women ok)
 - $20 dues per week + a 1 time team sponsor fee
 - We will bowl approximately a 32 week season, which includes playoffs and sweepers.
 - The league uses a Match Play Point System (where team points and individual match points are awarded each game and for series)
 - Minimum average for handicap: 170 for men, 150 for women. (any bowlers under this threshold will only receive the handicap for a 170 or 150)
 - I run optional weekly brackets, high game pots, and 50/50 raffle.
 - The Thursday Night Shootout will feature the largest payout among any of the leagues at AMF Rocklin Lanes; Last season, we payed out over $19,000 among our 56 bowlers.

If you are looking for a league that is features more serious competition than a traditional mixed league but in a fun and inviting atmosphere, this is the league for you.

We are now accepting entries for the 2015-16 season. The management at Rocklin Lanes has offered us as many lanes as we need this year, so please don't hesitate to bring a whole team. If you have 1, 2, or 3 people interested but not a full team, please let me know and I will find someone for you to bowl with.

It's too bad for us, we def. would like to bowl.....but, Rocklin is just too far for us and with traffic on 80 after 4pm it's nuts.  if it was a second shift league, most likely we would...

That's a copout if I ever heard one. Lol! I drive from Downtown during 5 o'clock  rush hour and make it in plenty of time.

We are little over 2 weeks away from our 2015-16 season! There are several teams in need of 1 or 2 bowlers, and of course full teams are welcome. Contact me or AMF Rocklin Lanes if you are interested!
