Hey everybody,
Over the years, we have built a very successful Saturday Night No-Tap program. While I will be continuing to run the No-Tap every Saturday night, many of you have expressed an interest in bowling more tournaments. That is why today I am proud to announce our new Saturday Tournament Series, coming in August to AMF Rocklin Lanes!
All tournaments will be held on Saturdays at 1pm, with the check in starting at Noon. Every week will feature a different challenging-yet-fun tournament. These events are open to all ages and abilities, and most will be handicapped. As usual with all of my tournaments, reservations are encouraged but not required, and walk-ins are always welcome. And cash-payment only, please!
Here's a look at our upcoming events for August, 2013:
August 3rd – Plastic Ball
· $35 Entry Fee ($8 Lineage, $5 Sec fee, $22 Prize Fund)
· Estimated $250 First Place with 30 entries
· Singles format, bowl 3 games of qualifying, then top 5 bowl in step ladder
finals
· All bowlers can use only a plastic or rubber ball for entire duration of
tournament. All equipment will be subjected to tournament staff approval.
August 10th – Scotch Doubles
· $80 Entry Fee per team ($40 per person) ($12.5 lineage, $5 sec fee, $22 Prize Fund)
· Estimated $500 First Place with 30 teams
· 5 games of Scotch Doubles alternate shot format over 5 pairs of lanes
August 17th – Low Ball
· $40 Entry Fee ($12.5 lineage, $5 sec fee, $22 Prize Fund)
· Estimated $250 First Place with 30 entries
· Singles format, bowl 5 games on the same pair of lanes.
· Low-ball format: lowest score wins. Any “0†or gutter = a mark. Perfect game = score of 20
· Handicap TBD
August 24th – Sport Shot
· $35 Entry Fee ($8 Lineage, $5 Sec fee, $22 Prize Fund)
· Estimated $250 First Place with 30 entries
· Singles format, bowl 3 games of qualifying and then top 5 advance to stepladder finals
· Oil Pattern: PBA Shark Pattern
August 31st – 5 Game Doubles
· $80 Entry Fee per team ($40 per person) ($12.5 lineage, $5 sec fee, $22 Prize Fund)
· Estimated $500 First Place with 30 teams
· 5 games of doubles over 5 pairs of lanes
