wow, an amf center that actually cares enough to have a lane machine that will put down the pba patterns.  must have slipped that one past the dm somehow  that is great however, enjoy the challenge.  it will make you better.

What's the price for the practice session? How much will it be per game/per session?

My guess that the normal price for open play. I bowl a few miles from Rocklin and the lane man will put out PBA patterns for us.

We are very excited to have this league, we were trying to get a new lane machine for about a year, but AMF recently switched our DM, so things are beginning to change

As for the practice, there are a few options:

1. The lanes will be oiled with the PBA shot around 5:30, you can come in an pay the per-game price which will be $5.50 a game

2. If you already bowl at an AMF House, you can use your summer free games/league discount

3. If you want to stick around until 9, you can do our All-you-can-bowl special, which is $7.50 for unlimited games from 9-11pm

If you have anymore questions, feel free to email the center rocklinlanes@amf.com or

Will the lanes for the PBA shot be separate from open play after 9? As in recreational bowlers won't bowl on the PBA patterns?

Yeah the plan is to keep the regular open play bowlers off the PBA lanes unless we absolutely have to give them out. But they will available the whole evening for anyone to come and try out the shot. Also, Im gonna try have them keep a pair untouched until 9, so people can do the unlimited deal.

40 minutes from Davis. Ouch! I'll try to make it out there though, for the sake of bowling =P

Greetings everyone,

I'm glad to see that there is interest in our new program.  We decided yesterday that we will offer practice on the PBA pattern-conditioned lanes for $1.69 per game for anyone who wants to try them out.  Just a few disclaimers, though: there will be limited lanes available for this special (probably three pairs) so we might have to cram people together if a lot show up and we are still fine-tuning the patterns and they are not perfect yet.  We will need input from the bowlers on this.  We are also awaiting new wicks for our lane machine which will help us get the patterns perfect.

This will be a first come-first served program.  We hope to see you Monday!
