NO-TAP TOURNEY- TRAVIS AFB 12/12
« on: December 07, 2009, 04:25:37 AM »
There is a 2nd Saturday monthly No-tap tournament at Travis Air Force Base. 6 pm.  $20 entry fee and extra brackets and 300 pot.
Two classes. Under 170 and 170 and over.  All scratch No-Tap scoring.
Bowl 3 games. Top half of the field in each division move on.
Move to a different pair and bowl 1 game. Top half of field in each division move on.
Move to a different pair and bowl 1 more game for place money.  If you make it to the final round you atleast get your money back. Top prize is usually $130 or so.
Don''t let the no-tap fool you. They usually put out Kegel patterns that are really tough.  People shoot 150 no taps all the time..
This is a cheap fun tournament to test your ability to hit the pocket for 5 games.

You do need clearance to get on base. Call Travis Bowl this week before Thursday and they will put you on a list to get on the base to bowl the tournament.  You will have to stop by the visitors center to get a pass. Make sure you bring your ID, Registration for the car you are driving, and proof of insurance.

I guess they changed the time frame to get on the list. They are turning the list in on early Wednesday morning from now on so if you want to bowl next month please call before then.
If you really still want to bowl this weekend please PM me and I will see what I can do to get you base access. I can't get you on but know someone that can sponsor you onto the base.
