good Bay Area leagues

I'm new to to the silicon valley area and am trying to figure out where to bowl in the fall.  Can someone point me to some competitive leagues in the south bay area?  I live in west San Jose and work in Sunnyvale so things convenient to either of those would be preferable.  I posted a 183 last season but it was a bit low due to battling a wrist injury for most of it... I'm more around 190 regularly.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have the league schedules right in front of me, but I'm pretty sure that 4th Street has a decent scratch league on Wednesday nights, and Cambrian has one on Tuesdays.

If you don't mind driving a bit, Cloverleaf in Fremont has scratch leagues every weeknight except for Wednesday.  The Friday league has a number of good players, and decent added money.

Homestead Lanes has a scratch league on Thursday nights at 9pm. It's invite only, but you might contact them and see if there are openings. Here is a link to the league's home page.

yep i work the desk that night. there are alot good bowlers some regional players pros and alot of ppl i look up to in that league. if you can find i team that can fit your avg. go for it fun competitive league with brackets if you are intersted. and i know cambrian has a good tuesday and thursday night leagues over there too.

thanks bracket, i was thinking it was towards the dry/light, but wasn't sure.  mowry i'd consider bone dry.  but i've never been to place that's considered heavy oil for comparison.

paddock bowl in pacheco used to have a pretty heavy shot, but i guess they either got too many complaints or have gotten cheap.  it is now a standard light and short oil shot.  dublin bowl in dublin and diablo lanes in concord have on occasion put out some pretty heavy shots for our travel league.  not sure what they do for their standard leagues.  i have heard that the showcase league at diablo used to feature a heavier shot, but have since conceded to the masses and lightened it up.  other than a few of the patterns during the pba experience leagues at various centers, finding heavy oil in the bay area is a challenge.
