Comments:
The Virtual Gravity (VG) was a little too much skid/flip for the first 5-6 games. Once broken in, it had a very nice mid lane read and a very strong backend reaction. I used it in a couple of different centers, one that had new BW Anvilanes and the other that has AMF HPLs with a lot of oil in the center of the lane. For a bowling ball cover that is supposed to be very strong and a low RG core, this ball gets through the front part of the lane extremely well. The VG had a very strong mid lane reaction, and a very hard arcing / borderline flip backend reaction. I used this ball a lot in a Saturday night league where a lot of people were using plastic / urethane and pushing oil down the lane. The VG could be used from both outside and inside angles with no loss in hitting power.
I was extremely surprised at the VG’s ability to clear the front part of the lane and how angular it was off of the spot, even with the mid lane read. I didn’t have great success with this ball on league shots unless there was a little carry down, otherwise it was just too aggressive off the spot. This ball really shined on the Viper, Chameleon, Scorpion and Shark (broken down) PBA patterns.
