Average is 202. My PAP is 4 3/8 over and 1/8 up. Had it drilled with the pin up above the bridge, cg kicked out to the right, and mb is pretty far to the right, with no weight hole. Using it on a ths with oob finish. Figured it would be a good first to second game ball before I have to switch when the lanes break down. Pretty sick ball! With this drilling, it certainly get down the lane, but when it turns the corner....BAM! Great job Storm. Took me about 12 games to really break it in and get the "newness" off and learn its characteristics, but I'm really loving it now.

I got this ball a while back and I really like it. This is my favorite ball because it has such a smooth roll and works with the backend. There honestly isn't anything I am going to say against this and I highly recommend it. I have been throwing it regularly on fresh oil for THS and have no issue adjusting with it over the course of several games. I have also thrown it on a few sport shot patterns (Beijing, BTM Flat and Montreal) and had no issue getting it to perform on them either.
When buying the Anarchy, I was looking for an extremely strong pearl. I love to play a big ball, stand 25-30, play out to 5, but have found myself playing straighter over the last few months. The covers on some of my arsenal have been starting to track a bit, and I wanted something fresh. My arsenal thus far includes the Virtual Energy, Invasion, Virtual Gravity, Gravity Shit, and Big Hit. (As you can see I'm a Storm fan)
What I got from this ball is exactly what I was looking for. I have it drilled pin above and right of ring, with the MB in strong and long. This ball gets down lane great and makes a left turn off the mark. It took me a few games to get used to swinging the ball again. I average between 222-230 in my two current leagues and just recently had my Virtual Energy crack in half (a new one is on the way). Getting the Anarchy was in perfect timing. My first set of 4 games I shot 879, about 50 pins below average. The second time using the ball shot a 721 (3 games) with a Big four and Greek church split. The third set (4 games) I shot 1033, with a 300 and 279 in the 3rd and 4th game. From the second to fourth game I ran 27 of 28. I left a ringing 10 pin in the fourth frame of the fourth game.
All I can say is this ball is an absolute beast. It will come back from a miss right and hit like a freight train. If you like to swing, this ball is a must have. If you are new to bowling, I would go for something a little weaker and work your way up. Storm did a great job with this ball and I can't wait to see what else I can get out of it!

COMMENTS
Likes: Ball is super clean through the fronts, and reads the midlane amazingly. My invasion tends to be somewhat speed sensitive. I have found that attempting to push the invasion through the heads will cause me to throw it through the midlane and will get squirty at the break point. With the anarchy, i have no fear of rolling the ball knowing it will not read early. At the spot it is a strong but not drastic move toward the pocket, with great continuation.
I am able to get deeper with the Anarchy than i ever could with my Invasion. The invasion did not have the downlane recover for inside angles, but i believe the pearl cover on the Anarchy allows this to be the case.
Spent some time with the Anarchy on the PBA Shark Pattern recently. Offers MUCH more downlane recovery than my invasion, which i am forced to slow WAY down with in order to get it to read. The Pin Down Anarchy makes a strong and continuous move off the end of the pattern and allowed me to get deeper and deeper as the pattern broke down.
Dislikes: Don't have any dislikes at this time.

LANE CONDITION
Two different house shots:
1) Kingpin Lanes, AMF HPL synthetics, ~6 years old. 42 foot typical newer house wall, lots of friction outside 5, quite a bit of friction from 5 to 10, and heavy volume of oil inside 10. The shot starts out playable from the outside for me, but dries up very quickly because most bowlers tend to stay further outside except for the crankers, and the heads start to go by the start of the 2nd game. I do not have enough tilt to stay on top of the friction most nights and either have to move deeper and swing into the friction with a weaker ball, or migrate left with a stronger ball and play in the oil.
2) Executive Strike & Spare, old wood lanes. It's a second-shift league, but they run a head fill shot for us most of the time. The result is a very, very defined friction spot in the track area around the second arrow that can result in early hook, with slightly more oil than usual from the gutter to the 7 board, and sloppy backends inside 10. One of the lower-scoring house shots I've bowled on, I only average around 212-215 in this house when I average 230 at Kingpin and 204 in a PBA Experience league.
BALL REACTION
Length: Moderate length in oil, but very responsive to friction, so length may not be there once the heads and midlane start to dry up.
Back End: Very, very strong motion off the end of the pattern. Quick-revving and a defined hard arc, but it is a controllable motion because it doesn't hook/stop. The ball revs up and just keeps driving, provided it is kept in the oil long enough to do so.
Overall Hook: With the 500/4000 surface I use, it covers more boards than any other pearl I've ever thrown (roughly 4-5 boards more than a Gravity Shift with the same kind of layout and surface). On medium heavy oil, it can hook nearly as much as a Mutant Cell or Dimension, and on medium oil where those balls would burn up, it would cover more boards than them.
Midlane Read: Even though it is extremely clean through the front part of the lane, it does a good job of picking up in the midlane without expending too much energy or hooking too soon.
Breakpoint Shape: Extremely defined left turn, but not as violent or purely angular as a Reign. It's hard to describe, but it's a "rolly skid/flip" kind of motion.
COMMENTS
Likes: This ball is VERY strong. I cannot emphasize enough how strong it really is. Compared to a 4"x5"x1.5" Tropical Heat pearl with the same 500/4000 surface on the same house shots, I must move my feet and my breakpoint several boards left to stay in the oil as long as possible. The ball is so responsive to the friction that large mistakes right will NOT make it back as easily as they would with the Tropical Heat because the ball will rev up and transition to a forward roll very quickly. However, it still makes it back enough to leave a single pin spare at worst, and quite often it will strike anyway on a very light hit because of the severe entry angle it generates. Mistakes inside do seem to hold pocket fairly well, and pin action is again very good even when hitting a little high thanks to the entry angle it can create.
Because the ball is so strong, I am able to move further left and stay away from the early friction created by the soft-handed guys throwing heavy oilers up the friction. This also lets me stay closer to the area where the heavier handed bowlers are breaking down the pattern, which can help break the pattern down in a way that helps guide the ball back to the pocket.
The ball is also very user-friendly, which is surprising for a strong asymmetrical. Shots that come off my hand a little flat or lazy tend to still roll up and make it back to the pocket, and shots where I overturn my hand create good skid early, but still roll up early enough to mix the pins up well. I have yet to bowl under 730 for three games with this ball (though I'm sure I just jinxed that!) because it's so forgiving on those kind of mistakes.
With surface, this is the best pearl ball I have seen for handling carrydown. I bowled against a team Tuesday night that was full of beginners throwing house balls and plastic, and we saw an extreme amount of carrydown. During the first game, I struggled to figure it out, but it finally clicked by the end of the game -- I moved five boards right and used a weaker release (like I might use on a fresh sport pattern where I want to control the ball motion) to roll it directly up the 9 board and shot 289-267 back to back. (High flush 7 pin and high flush 4-7-9 split, and one tugged ball where the only non-strikes those games). Everyone else on the pair struggled to kick the corners out because their balls were skidding longer than usual, and if anyone tried throwing something stronger it wanted to roll too soon, but the Anarchy continued to get down the lane and roll through the pins well.
Dislikes: This is certainly not the ball to use when the oil starts to go away. If I can keep chasing the oil inside to stay closer to the tweeners and crankers, it's very effective, but if that friction becomes too prevalent, the ball will expend all its energy early and be hard to control and not carry well. That is typical of a stronger ball, but still worth noting.

BALL REACTION and COMMENTS
I have now used the Anarchy for 2 league sets. The lanes are fresh when we hit the floor. My average in that league is 222 for 69 games. Since using the Anarchy I haven't tried another ball during league. For those 6 games my low was 224 (and that included flagging a 10-pin). One of my students has used her Anarchy for several weeks and recently had her high league set (a 10-pin leave in the 10th of the 3rd game kept her from her first 800...she finished with 786).
My bottom line for this ball is that it not only hooks but it knows where to hook. Typically I use the Virtual Energy and target the 12 board at the arrows sending the ball to about the 8 board near the far right range-finder of these Brunswick lanes during the first game of league and as the transition takes place I end up changing balls in the middle of the 2nd game. Sometimes I use that 2nd ball the rest of the night and sometimes not. The last 2 weeks I have used the Anarchy for every first ball and other than making slight hand-position changes to increase the skid and flip at times, I have had zero trouble with the transition. My line has been a little deeper with the Anarchy (compared to the VE) but it's basically the same. The difference is that now I have a little bit more room to miss left or right by a board or two and still be in the pocket. With the VE my mistakes to the left ended up being 2-pins or flat-10's...now if it isn't a strike it's a 4-pin. Wow what a difference!
I never thought I would like a ball as much as I liked the VE but I do. The Anarchy is it. I liked what the Invasion did on the fresh pattern but after a game it had to go in the bag. The Anarchy makes me wish our league was a 6-game set...I'm not ready to stop throwing strikes after just 3 games!

Likes:very smooth thru the midlane...doesn't grab...very even roll
Dislikes: to much snap hook on the back,,,,tamed it down with 3000 abralon and it gave me more ofan even roll....however with any oil on the back end, I was leaving weak 10's
I have been a Storm guy ever since I started bowling so I am always looking for the next best thing out there by Storm and well I have found it. This ball is truly amazing! The Anarchy is a ball that is very versatile for me, letting me play up the outside of the lane and then letting me progress left as the lanes break down throughout the day, without losing much drive at all. The ball hooks like nothing I have ever thrown before!
I have to say that it is my go to ball out of the bag to start any league night or tournament. I regularly start out my collegiate practices with this ball and I used this ball for most of the time In the Backhaul Direct Hoosier Classic on the longer pattern. This was due to the pattern allowing for me to get the Anarchy down the lane, finishing with a strong backend that worked really well for a pattern I would have normally struggled mightily on. The ball stores so much energy in the back end and hits the pins hard consistently. Having this ball at the top end of my arsenal gives me that go to ball on the heavy oil patterns that I have been longing to find.
Overall, the Anarchy has been a main piece of my arsenal since moving to 15 lb equipment in the middle of the year, and I know that it has found a spot alongside my Reign Supreme and Fast to build a bag that I know I can take anywhere with me. Anybody that doesn’t have this ball in their arsenal should open up a spot and buy this ball. You will not regret it one bit!

I have an Anarchy. This is normally the first bowling ball out of my bag. I find this bowling ball a great help in college bowling. I find myself having a hard time hooking the ball when the lane has lots of oil. This ball hooks great in lots of oil! There have been many tournaments in and out of college bowling where I throw this ball. I love this ball because it has great movement on the lane.

My Anarchy has great mid-lane performance. It has a three inch pin drilled pin up with the CG kicked out. The ball provides early hook for a polished cover but rolls very smooth on the backend making for a predictable ball reaction. I have to move only 1 or two boards per game. The ball has the strength of the other high end storm balls, but does not tear apart the oil pattern. This combination provides good consistency that is vital to string together strikes.
I used the ball at box surface on a 41 foot 2:1 ratio oil pattern and was able to play around the first arrow. This is as far out as I have ever been able to play with any piece of equipment. The Anarchy is the strongest ball in my bag and has great hitting power in the pins. I especially like that I can follow a smooth transition, using the ball over a six game block without having to return to my bag for something different. I also used the Anarchy on a 36 foot 2:1 ratio pattern and got great mid-lane reaction with great roll into the pocket. The Anarchy is a smooth ball that is a vital addition to my Storm arsenal.

COMMENTS
After thinking about the ball I wanted to fill the gap between my Nomad Dagger and Virtual Gravity Nano, it came down to 2 choices: the Storm Anarchy and the 900 Global Bank Pearl. Testing both through my pro shop guy with interchangeable grips, I decided to go with the Anarchy.
I have nothing bad to say about 900 Global at all; the Bank Pearl is a solid choice. However, I found that the Anarchy gives me about an extra 4-6 boards, which makes a difference in heavier volume. Mine was drilled 4x4x2 with no balance hole, and the pin above.
Throwing a few practice games, I noticed that the ball was flat out great on medium-heavy oil. I was able to start more towards the outside, throwing from 15 to 8. The backend reaction is simply great and the ball saved the energy, hitting the pins hard. As I went further into the afternoon, the oil carried down. No problem with the Anarchy. I ended up moving 5 boards further left, going from 20 to 10 and the oil kept the ball on target without any problems. Also, on a few shots that I pulled, keeping the ball in the oil helped with keeping it on line. Finally the far outside was playable, being able to go from 10 to 5 and still having a strong backend with good results.
I have no doubt that this ball will complement my VG Nano very well, and it gives me a 1-2 punch for attacking heavy and medium-heavy oil. It's another great ball from Storm. If you're looking for a strong pearl that can play multiple angles, you won't go wrong with considering the Anarchy.
Likes: Very clean in the front, strong backend, excellent carry, plays well with multiple angles
Dislikes: None so far

Update as of 6/26/11: Now after having thrown approximately 30 games on this ball, I have started to notice some issues that are making me consider trading this ball.
The big thing is consistancy with the reaction. I've noticed at 5 different houses that the ball will not consistantly read the lane properly. In some cases, it will go too high, in others it won't come back. This past week where I had to be deep on dry lanes to make it playable, my Rising Star was actually outhooking the Anarchy which is not supposed to happen.
I have tried a few things to see if I can get the Anarchy back to where it originally was for about the first 10 games or so. I did resurface the ball twice, once at 1500 and once at 2000. So far, the resurfacing at 1500 may have helped a little bit, 2000 made things worse. Also, I did try baking the ball at the pro shop and oil absorption was not a problem as there was very little oil that came out of the cover.
As of this point, I plan to take it back to the house with drier lanes where I can get in the oil and play deeper with high friction on the backends to see if the resurfacing to 1500 worked out (500 grit + gray scotch brite pad + Storm Step 2). If it doesn't, then I will probably be looking to trade it for a Roto Grip Infinite Theory. It may simply be that being a higher rev player (400-430) in addition to higher speed (19-22mph) may not be the best fit for this specific ball. This is after having it drilled similar to my Storm VG Nano, which has no issues whatsoever and gives me a lot of recovery. Also, I have no issues with either of my 2 Roto Grip hybrid balls.
I don't want to say the Anarchy is all around bad, because it isn't. I have seen people throw it successfully, and it was good for the first 10 games that I used it. It may just be a fluke in my case.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update as of 7/13/11: I went ahead and did a huge resurfacing on the ball. The process I used was sanding all sides with 500 Siaair, and then hitting it lightly with the gray scotch-brite pad. Once this was done, I finished it off with Storm Step 2. After doing this, it was time to head to 1 of my favorite houses.
This house uses a 43ft house shot which is relatively flat but heavy in volume. After throwing my VG Nano for the first 1-1/2 games, that ball was starting to leave flat 10s. Out came the Anarchy. Finally, it was back to original factory condition where it was long and strong. With the Nano, I played 26 to 12. The Anarchy, I made a move where I went to 23, but was keeping the breakpoint around 12-14. It flat out excelled with having some of the higher volumes of oil. Even better was once I found that line, I was able to stay with it, and then just make small 1-2 board moves at a time as the pattern started to transition.
My lesson learned with the Anarchy is that it does need oil to shine, and it is a little more condition specific than some other balls out there. The attempt at the initial surface change didn't really do me any favors. Then using Xtra Shine to make it even longer didn't help also. For me, the OOB finish does work best. Only thing I hated all night with the Anarchy was back to back solid 10's in the 10th frame of my 3rd game. That 10 pin got what it deserved...being crushed by a spare ball clocked by the radar gun at 25.74 mph. As for trading it...it will stay in my arsenal.
