I wanted to bowl with this ball on multiple conditions before posting my review, and here goes:

15lbs, 2-3 pin, 2.96 top weight before drilling.

I put the pin under my fingers on my span line, and the cg/MB kicked out to the right. The MB is at about a 50 degree position, and I had to use a medium hole to get legal. This is one of my favorite layouts for any ball, but this worked very well for X Factor balls in the past. The pin is about 4 9/16" from my PAP with the MB at about 45-50 degrees.

This ball rolls great, very early, pretty continuous. I left it in the box surface, and it worked okay on Pattern 3 on Zima synthetics, but just okay. Needed a little more back end/total hook.

Used this ball in Lafayette, LA on AMF synthetics, and some crazy house shot that played like a reverse block after breaking down some. Was able to get between 32 and 39 with my feet and target down the lane, soft hand. Ball was awesome. Could get it back from farther right than most others and ball still held in the middle as long as my hand motion was soft. After some break down, the Agent was better, as it got more length.

I like this ball and look forward to using it on Pattern 3 in Houma, LA this weekend.

Good ball for oil, but really heavy oil may make it struggle. I would want to keep some 500 grit Abralon or some scotch brite handy. This ball will be great on fresh oil with some volume, but still clean back ends. I think this ball will be nice shiny also, want to try one with the pin over fingers and some polish. The Paradigm balls are kinda pricy, but they are pretty good balls overall.

PS no kudos, as I drilled this one out my inventory. LOL!

It's been about two months I have this all so it's about time I made my first review.

First, the logistics:
I'm a righty stroker with a pretty decent ball speed
I'm bowling on synthetic AMF lanes
As for the ball itself, it's a tid bit strange...
16lbs and it had 3.94 oz of top weight
I have the pin a bit underneath my two fingers and the CG is for some reason, out in left field, with the RAD+ a bit under and right of my thumb...let's see if I can draw this thing up

When I got the ball, my local pro shop owner/driller OJ was all like, "Whoa, weird." There's also a gigantic weight hole to make it legal on the right side, I can actually fit my middle finger all the way into it and then some.

So, after all the hub bub was done, it was onto giving it a shot. Now, it took me a good two week to get used to the way it was drilled because as opposed to my last drilling (where the span was too long and it really messed up something in my ring finger), this was a bit different and much more comfy so I had to get used to it. But even in those two weeks of learning I didn't bowl bad, it's just I'm rolling it a bit differently now.

The first few kind of shots I bowled on with the Passion were pretty new synthetic lanes at a Brunswick house. This is the main reason I got the Passion because the oil there was WAY too much for my basically dead Triple X-Factor. The ball here went through the heads effortlessly, went through the midlane just as easy all the while revving up and in the last 12-15 feet, the ball would swoop in and just destroy all things in its path. At this house I'd be standing at about 15 board and throwing over the 12/13 board and out to the 8-10 range and it would just have this beautiful arc back into the pocket.

Now after getting comfy with everything, I'm at a new house (closer to my college) with much less oil. I thought I'd be doomed leaving some nasty 2 10 splits and stuff, but much to my surprise, the Passion can play on medium to medium-dry lanes quite well. I'm standing with my right foot on the 18 board and throwing it basically straight up 15. When the lanes are a bit drier I'm at the 18 board and I'll throw it out to around the 8 board and it'll have a nice sweet backend. Either shot, the ball is still effortless through the heads and midlane and it just flattens the deck. The Passion is quite possibly one of the most versatile bowling balls I've ever seen, despite it being made for heavy oil. It probably also has a lot to do with how I throw, but either way it rocks. Once the lanes breakdown by the middle of the third game I have a bit of trouble keeping the ball in check. Burnt up dry lanes are not the Passion's friend. In the past three weeks my low series is a 630 and my low game is a 194...that's saying a lot considering my average this time last year was barely a 190. I've also attained a new high series of 737.

All in all, another winner from Storm. If you're looking for a ball with awesome midlane roll and can cut through gloss, this is your best bet. Can't wait to get my hands on the domination.

i had this ball since about july and let me tell you if your looking for a ball that just hooks like a beast and has control then you found it but dont get me wrong its not a backend ball you cant put it that far out it just hooks the whole way down the lane i started bowling seriously last year and i averaged 165 with a saw blade and since i got my passion im averaging 200 so i think its a great ball

Drilled this ball few months ago and for a tournament in Louisville KY., and what a ball ,after watching players not able to get to the pocket with a heavy oil pattern , pulled out the passion and played up the lane and watch the pins blow off the deck for a nice 792 singles win and this gives us older players the hit that the young guns have ,with a label drill this ball will go head to head with any thing out there , try one and take the next step up with your game .

Drilled the Passion with the pin above the fingers, and the RAD out slightly to the right of the thumbhole. Definitely needs some oil, but when there's enough oil in the heads and midlane, this ball is a monster. You can almost see the strength of the core turn the ball over as the change of direction is noticeable and powerful when it makes it's move. Very impressed with the carry percentage as the number of corners is fairly low. Nice ball in that you can trust it outside a bit and know it will get back to the pocket with no problem, which makes the bowler feel more confident, and have more area on the lane. Around 5-6 boards stronger than the original Paradigm, and a very nice compliment to it in the arsenal.

I've always been a Hammer guy, but wanted to give storm a try and bought the passion. My pro shop followed Storms PSA drilling guide for a high flare layout based on my PAP. First six games used at OOB finish, after that used 500 grit abralon to rough it up some more. I have played with the layout and the coverstock and have about 15 games on this ball. My ball speed is likely the issue since dropping to 14#, but this one does not hook as much as my Hammer Big Deal and does not hit as hard. So far, very disappointed and will go back to Hammer.
