http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g299/Myrrodin/joltdrilling.jpgOkay, so my coach and I decided to go for a weaker ball for drier lanes, and we decided on the Jolt. I'm not much of a power player, but I have been working on getting some more power into my game. Anyway, I found this ball to be a bit more versatile than expected. I can bring this thing out on dry lanes, and sometimes even medium if I want to play straighter. I had a bit of trouble with this ball at first, back when I had a lower ball speed and less rotation. The ball seemed to want to read the dry to much and I was getting a lot of 4 and 9 pins. (or both if it went a little high) However, since then, we've upped my speed and rotation a bit, and the ball is now an absolute monster. I usually play straight up 5-7 with this ball, but occasionally I will put a little bit of swing on it if it overreacts. If I want to use it with a bit more oil, I either have to go right up to the gutter, or slow down a bit and bring it inside (12-14). The cover on it has no trouble turning the corner when it gets a some friction to work with. I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for a lighter oil ball that still has some backend on it, but for bowlers with slow speeds, you may want to consider the Jolt Pearl instead.
Thanks to Rob Herman at 10 in the Pit Pro Shop for layout it out and drilling it!
