“If you want a bowling ball that can transform your game, look no further than the Marvel S! At the beginning of the collegiate bowling year, I was averaging in the low 140’s. Low and behold, I ordered my Marvel S and I was averaging 168 for the year! With the solid coverstock and aggressive core, this ball really dominates on heavy/medium oil and really comes back hard at the pins for that dream finish. Overall, I really couldn’t ask for a better ball and will be using it next year.” –Dylan Kovach

Marvel S: When I first used the Marvel S, I had a temptation to eat it because it smelled so good. I couldn't be sure whether it was a fancy bowling ball or an oversized breath mint. Then I threw it on the lanes and the pins literally exploded. When the dust settled and the Marvel S returned, encrusted in ashen pin remains, I knew I had found my ball. In all seriousness, the Marvel S is one very aggressive ball, which requires some control and good judgment on behalf of the bowler using it. It is meant for either bowling well on heavy oil patterns, or impressing your friends with your incredible hook at parties. All in all, this ball is so powerful you may feel at times that it is using you, and not the other way around. -William Russotto

This ball reads the lane early and is my favorite ball to use on heavy oil patterns. My bowling style is stroker and I need a ball that reads early with a smooth back end. I throw the ball with an average speed which allows me to use this ball on dryer conditions by moving inside the lane. I would recommend this ball to any type of bowler as it is reliable and consistent. – Eric A.

The Marvel S is an amazing ball for me. I have really adjusted well to the way it reacts to particular oil patterns, and my overall average has significantly increased throughout the year. I can't wait for the collegiate season in Fall 2014 – Alonzo V.

The marvel-s is probably the best of the Marvel line. Previously owning and enjoying the Modern Marvel, I was excited to see how the solid coverstock would add to the power the Modern Marvel already created. The Marvel-S didn’t disappoint. The way it came back even when I missed right was huge in key points during league play. Overall, this ball is the best ball made by Storm…PERIOD. – Tyler Wells

I absolutely love my Marvel S. I wasn't able to put a lot of revolutions on my ball, so I needed something that had a little more reaction on it.
This ball definitely hooks a lot more, and has a powerful reaction when it hits the pins. I would recommend this ball to anymore looking for a more reactive ball. – Jessica N

Coming from a history of Brunswick gear, and this being the first Storm I ever drilled, the reaction provided was a bit of a shock.

Where I was used to seeing a heavy oil Brunswick tip over and gradually hook, the Marvel tipped over, started hooking, and made a more angular move at the pocket.  I guess this is due to the cover being stronger than Brunswick covers therefore being able to use less surface.

I used this ball on Shark, a longer Navigator pattern, Scorpion, and a THS wall.  The general rule is if you have enough volume in the heads, you should be able to use this ball on anything. It's a good piece and has prompted me to add a few more Storm balls in my bag.

Type of bowler: Tweener
Avg Speed: 17
Rev Rate: 375-400
PAP: 5 x ¾ up
Layout: 50 x 3 x 50

The Marvel S is one of the most aggressive balls I’ve drilled from the Storm line. I drilled it to give me an option when the mid-lanes have less friction. The ball picks up very well and the motion through the pins is the best I’ve seen.

39’ Brunswick pattern – The volume on this pattern was a little lite so wasn’t able to use this ball much. On the fresh I was able to move in and play to the spot down lane however the friction chased this ball out of my hand very early.

43’ THS – This ball is a house pattern beast. With a lot of volume I was able to move in early and create more angle and reaction down lane than with my IQ Tour or Disturbed. The finish on this ball is very good.

Overall, this ball is a monster that can slot in at the top of any lineup. It’s a carry down beater, something anyone with speed needs. On lighter volumes this ball will likely stay in the bag but that’s OK. You’ll get use out of it other places.

May drill another with a 70 x 5 1/2 x 45 drill to see what kind of look it gives me.
