Well I have been bowling with my Passion for about a month. I wanted to try it out on a variety of conditions before posting my review. Since purchasing this ball, I have been impressed. I bought the ball to deal with the flooded conditions that began on my Friday night league. I have the original Paradigm and when the lanes are Medium oily, the Paradigm is a fantastic ball. Unfortunately, when the lanes are Heavy, the Paradigm cannot make the turn. Oh, it tries, but sadly keeps going straight. In its defense, it was not designed for heavy oil. Enter the Passion. The Passion grips the lane in the wettest conditions I have seen. I bowled on freshly oiled lanes tonight. Literally watched him oil the lanes and then put the Passion out there. Found I could crank, not with the usual speed that a Paradigm on medium lanes can do, but if I watched my speed a little, the ball was coming back to the pocket. After three games, I asked the mechanic if he could put another coat of oil on the lane. He looked at me funny, thinking I had too much confidence in the ball and then complied. I realize, that you would probably never see this scenario, but I wanted to test out the ball on the most extreme conditions. It helps to give me a mental benchmark of what to expect from the ball. Although I could not crank it, the ball stroked nicely. I'd send it down the lane near the right hand gutter and this ball would rev up before taking a left turn and smashing the pocket. Keep in mind the ball is drilled 3.5 x 5. You can drill this ball 4 x 4 and maybe get the ball to crank in doubled oiled lanes. In any event, ball has surpassed my expectations. This ball has monster backend even in Heavy Oil and hits very hard. I am still in love with the Paradigm for its lively pin action and severe snap, but when the lanes get greasy, its time for the Passion.
