Description: Storm used the C.A.M. (Continuous Axis Migration) core in the Storm Reign of Fire in order to develop a strong midlane to backend transition. Storm added their aggressive PFT solid reactive coverstock finished with 1000-grit to create a more traction when the ball meets the lane. With this combination of coverstock and core you are sure to reign on the lanes with the Storm Reign of Power!

Ball speed 17mph, 450 RPMs, layout: (80 x 4 x 45)

I really needed a ball that would get down the lane but not be as quick off the spot as my Crossroad or Victory road pearl. With this drilling this ball fits perfectly into my arsenal as I can move in and open up the lane quite nicely but still having a controllable backend reaction. I found that with my speed and revs that a wet 4000 finish is ideal. It compliments my bag very nicely.

This ball at 4000 is great for when the lanes have a front to back over/under feel as it will blend the end of the pattern very well. For me, the Reign of Power is definitely a benchmark-type ball that will be in my bag for various upcoming tournaments on various patterns.

For bowlers looking for easy length with a duller finish to use on medium conditions, it’s an easy choice.

Storm Reign of Power Review by Casey Murphy

Orientation:  Right Handed
Rev Rate:  400 RPM
Speed:  16-17 MPH
PAP:  4 5/8 straight across

Location:  Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO
Pattern:  High Volume THS
Layout:  65, 5 ½, 35

The Reign of Fire was one of my favorite balls when it came out.  The technical staff at Storm described the Reign of Power as an update to that ball.  They were right.  The PFT cover creates the same early roll, but adds unprecedented angle off of friction.  It provides a very predictable read in the fronts with plenty of power on the back.  When compared with Reign of Fire, I think the Reign of Power is a good two or three feet earlier with much more backend.

If you have a need for a high volume symmetrical, the Reign of Power is the only choice.

The 15 lb Reign of Power is an excellent ball. Very strong hook and perfect for heavy oil. It's a very versatile ball, and it allows appreciable hook even when breaking my wrist for lighter oil. - Elias
