This is a late review for me on this ball as it has since went to the dumpster in the sky with bad lane damage, but here ya go. Had ball stacked for maximum length and snap. First sanctioned set with the ball 745 and won the strikepot for 1,700. ball was very versatile clean threw heads on dry lanes strong recovery. On oil dulled and just as strong as on dryer lanes. Great ball for the money.

I drilled a Spit Fire this week for use on the Cheetah and maybe Viper patterns and am glad I did. The ball does pick up hard in the late mid-lane but makes an unbelievable backend reaction with no quit whatsoever. The carry that this reaction produces is above average as well. The roll can be summed up as a solid reactive mid-lane with a pearl reactive backend. The ball is definitely longer and more on the back than my Diablo. It even out backends my T-Road Pearl and Agents. Another strong release from Storm.

The reason why I drilled this up was becasue at the time I only had a Special Agent, Total NV, and a Tropical. My TNV was not getting through the heads as clean as I needed and my Tropical just kept skidding. So I decided to drill up a Spit Fire. The Spit Fire was not my favorite ball but it is a good ball. It is very clean through the fronts and reads the dry very nicely. The only reason I dont like the ball is because it was a little unpridictable. Besides that it has a strong aggresive move on the backend and decent hitting power. I like the R2S way better than the Reactor coverstock. So I might give the Sure Fire a try.

i want 2 start of by saying  if u want a ball that u can cover the whole lane this is not the ball for u. i love 2 hook the ball when i can but when thats not working i go grab my spit fire bowl up the 7 board and smash the pocket. i would tell anyone that wanted a ball that they could bowl up the outside it would be the spit fire. only prob i had with this ball is when it was oob surface if i went high flush where most of the time i trip the 4 pin this ball would leave the big four went and told the guy in the pro shop and he put a 2000 grit surface on the ball and now high flush is strike or A 4 pin like it sould be

I picked up this ball really really cheap on Ebay.I went with drill pattern #2 for longer patterns and stronger midlane and baby thats just what I got.As everyone says,now I know why Norm Duke loves this ball.The versatility,the amazing hook and most important of all....the affordability!I'm pretty tempted to get another one off Ebay and have it drilled up to the Rico pattern for the fall leagues.All I can say is ,if you can get one while they are going cheap on Ebay,you won't be disappointed.This is my first Storm ball and it certainly won't be my last.I have a Dimension coming in three weeks on the summer league and I can't wait to use that bad boy.

The only thing that comes to my mind when I think of the spit fire is versatility. When worst comes to worst it comes out of the bag. I'd recommend this ball to any person who wants to have an all around great ball for mostly all lane conditions.

Ive been using the spit fire for about 3 weeks now, I'll go as far as to say that I'm not disappointed.  The main difference i see in this ball compared to others is its finish.  On synthetic lanes it finishes smoothly like any other ball, but then you hit the wood and seems to roll out.  Surprisingly it carries like no other once it does so.  I would recommend this ball for light to medium oil only.
