Storm has joined forces with multi PBA champion Jason Belmonte to create a ball that they feel will be timeless. The Storm Timeless is the first ball to be released in Storm's Signature Line of bowling balls. This ball uses the unique Dual-Drive core and partners it with the amazing R2S coverstock. This core and cover team creates a ball that is fast-revving like the IQ Tour and hits with power much like the Hy-Road. The Dual-Drive core is a weight block within a weight block. These two weight blocks work together to create a ball core that generates faster revving action and a greater amount of energy transmission at the pins. The R2S Hybrid Reactive coverstock glides through the front of the lane and then reacts to the backend with a unique motion.

Color: Blue Solid/Platinum Pearl/Black Pearl
Core: Dual-Drive (14-16#)
Coverstock: R2S Hybrid Reactive
Finish: 1500-grit Polished
RG: 2.57 (15# ball)
Differential: 0.050 (15# ball)
Recommended Lane Condition: Medium-Heavy Oil
Fragrance: Aromatherapy - Citrus

LANE CONDITION

Length:37ft and 41ft

Volume: medium-high

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): 37ft team nationals pattern and 41ft house pattern

COMMENTS

I drilled my Timeless pin down with a hole below the midline, 50*5*70. I wanted to create a more arcing motion downlane since this ball responded so hard to friction. I achieved exactly that. The cover allows for the ball to still get through the front part of the lane with ease and with that back angle being alittle higher it starts to flare up alittle faster creating a smoother motion downlane. I have thrown this ball up against my Code Black and Daredevil and it revs up faster than both of them with it being pin down.
I threw it in the Team event of this yrs Nationals event. It was a great reaction for the shorter flat pattern. It was alittle stronger that I would prefer but it shaped the lane beautifully.
I threw it on my hose pattern and saw the same smoother motion that I saw in Vegas. For me its a great ball to transition to on the wet dry house conditions because when I have to move in off the track and get in to heavier volumes it reads the lane soon enough to drive through the pins and when I throw it to the friction it doesn't over react.
Great ball for all bowlers to have!!!

Layout: pin below bridge, cg kicked out to the right an inch of grip line

Condition: 40 ft ths hpl lane beds.

This is another masterpiece by storm.  When I drilled this ball I wanted something that would get down the lanes and was controllable, nothing to herky jerky.  This ball really delivered. I could play incredibly straight with piece or slow hook the entire lane if need be. I could me using this ball on a more medium condition. This ball is absolutely stunning with an arrangement of colors, gold, purple, silver and navy. With an aromatherapy fragrance this balls shelf appeal is a real winner. The time and effort that Belmo and the team put into the piece will make it "timeless".  This ball is available now, go out and see your local pro shop today you won't be disappointed. If your in the Evansville,IN area go by and see Nick Austin at The Bowling Place located in Arc Lanes for all your bowling needs.

Ball: Storm Timeless
Specs: 1500 grit AB with factory polish with a 5 x 4 x 3 layout
Lane info: HPL installed in early 2000’s and using KEGEL Flex with Fire/Ice combo w/ defense – C cleaner
What I Liked: The ball was really “easy” to read when it went through the 2 transitions from front to back of the lane. I was expecting a “BIG” pearl piece, but was more like a Hy-Road to me but with more hitting power into the pocket. Definitely hardest hitting SYM core ball I ever used. Great benchmark pearl ball for anyone outside of super speed dominate players. Easy on the eyes to watch the movement and can make those little adjustments like launch angles, adjustment left or right on the approach, etc..  Works better on HPL then SPL just because the friction difference if the lane panels. I can see why this ball is selling out. By far the best Pearl SYM core ever produced by Storm since the Hy-Road was introduced almost 8 years ago.

The Timeless is the first release in Storm's Signature line, and was developed in collaboration with Jason Belmonte.  This is a very unique and polarizing ball.  The design intent was for 2 handed bowlers or very high rev rates, and I can't imagine a more perfect reaction for the 600 club.  If you have a high rev rate, this is likely to be one of the best reactions you've ever had.  It gets down the lane with ease, and has an extremely strong move on the backend.  It's a ball you can move extremely deep with, project firmly and watch it scream on the backend, losing no energy on the turn.  For lower rev rates, it's still going to be in play provided you have enough oil in the heads, it's very strong off the friction and reacts best from bigger or deeper angles.  It's a deceptively strong ball, it needs no help from a layout to get it to move, and pin down or smoother layouts actually work best with the Timeless.

Storm Timeless review by Brian Watson

The new Storm ball in the signature line is Belmo's Timeless.  Storm has done its homework in the research and development of the Timeless. Along with the insights from Belmo. I drilled mine 4.25x4.25x4.5 or 45x4.25x75 pin down.  Let me just mention that the Timeless is just different.  The ball reaction is unique, nothing like any other ball that I have drilled.  For some its the biggest backend ball that they have drilled.  For others it is nice controlled arcing motion.  Which what I have with the timeless.  The timeless just goes through the pins the right way, which gives you great carry.  You don't have to be a high rev player to throw the Timeless, at the Storm Match Maker events it was our most popular ball from all styles.

Right Handed
Ball weight:  15
Rev Rate:  400
Ball Speed:  17.3
Axis Tilt:  7
Axis Rotation:  45*
PAP:  3 3/4 horizontal, 7/8 up
Layout:  40 x 4 x 50

This ball is good.  It has it’s place in an arsenal and probably can’t be used on everything, but make no mistake, it is good.

Using it in league, OOB, it took about a game to get a feel for the overall motion.  If the ball stood up too fast, it was a flat 10.  I could actually tell at the release.  If I got around it, there were no 10s.  Maybe a 4, 9, or 8, but no ringing or flat 10s…  After 3 games, I really liked this ball.

In a local tourney, on 39’ Viper, after two games, I was able to use the Timeless to play the shim and had so much room, it make me look good.  I had miss left and right and the only way I didn’t hit the hole was if I rolled it horrible.  Looks like it was good for sport patterns too…

Needless to say, the Timeless goes to every league session and tournament.  I’ve been impressed with some aspect of this ball every time I’ve used it.

Storm Timeless Ball Review by PJ Haggerty

When the Hyroad was first released from Storm in 2008, it quickly became one of my favorite balls, especially late in blocks.  A piece of my heart still remains with the Hyroad because it still goes almost everywhere with me, but the Timeless might be the new Buzz Lightyear if you will (sorry , the twins are watching more Toy Story these days).   A collaboration with our genius minds at Storm and currently the best player in the world have developed a home run addition to our line, the Timeless.

Using the Hyroad cover with a new designed core, the Timeless is a ball for all types of players.  I think the Timeless reads the lane earlier than the Hyroad because of the strength of the core, but still goes through the pins like the Hyroad.  I’ve drilled two so far and the first one is mapped out as 4 ½ x 4 ¼ with a small hole on my axis.  I’ve also taken the surface down to 2000 to slow down the response time.  This one goes everywhere with me.

The second one I drilled is mapped out as: 5 ¼ x 4 with a hole under my axis.  This Timeless is much cleaner and has a faster response time because of the distance from my PAP.   My favorite layout in the Hyroad was when we drilled through the middle finger and that’s how this Timeless is mapped out as well.  I’ve also knocked this one down to 3000 and I expect to use this one when there is a good amount of friction much later in blocks.

I think this ball has lived it up to its hype!  Go drill one!

Orientation:  Right Handed
Rev Rate:  375 RPM
Speed:  16-17 MPH
PAP:  4 5/8 straight across

Location:  Enterprise Park Lanes, Springfield MO
Pattern:  High Volume THS
Layout:  40, 4 ¾   , 70

WOW, the Timeless is a head turner on the lanes and in the bag.  This ball clears the fronts easily but the new Dual Density Core creates a surprising amount of midlane motion and smooth continuation!  Normally with a ball this clean in the fronts I would expect to see boomerang off the backend, but the Timeless hits the dry much more controlled and keeps on hooking!  I feel like I can use this ball on fresh, medium and dry!  The Timeless is truly a benchmark piece!

The hype was real about this release, good and bad, I suppose. The new weight block design and the proven R2S cover was a match that was anticipated greatly. I drilled mine with a typical pin up symmetric look, it was super easy up front and read the friction hard on the back. I am slightly speed dominant and have low axis tilt, so getting a good read with equipment is tough. My first practice games with the Timeless were exciting, stringing strikes and tossing pins....My league night didn't go so well. The ball, in my opinion, is very friction sensitive, I know, bowling balls are supposed to be that way. It's at a new level with the timeless, I couldn't get into a comfortable spot with this ball. Now, I am in no way a super star on the lanes, I'm the pro shop guy just having fun. I had no room at all during my league set, hit the dry a bit quick...nose, tug it in a bit...wash out. It was very demanding to hit the pocket, we do have a 45 foot house shot on Utopia oil which is pretty slick, so.....I have drilled other Timeless balls for my customers and most of them are very satisfied. Maybe it's just me, haha. Honestly, I have only used it a few games since the first night and I am planning on getting a few more reps with it soon. Let me know what you think. #stormnation

Tester: Jordan Racke
Condition: 40 ft house shot
PAP: 5 5/8 Right, ¼ down
Ball Speed: 16 mph
Rev Rate: 450 rpm
I decided to drill my Timeless pin up. When looking at different layouts and deciding what I wanted the ball to do, I came to the conclusion that I want something that I could get down the lane and control. I wasn’t looking for something too “flippy” and after watching a few friends throw theirs before I got mine, I noticed how much theirs moved as the ball reached the end of the pattern. The Timeless is a perfect ball for many different things. If you want something that is going to get through the front part of the lane with ease and snap hard off the back end, this is the ball for you. If you want something like I did, which is a ball that can get through the front cleanly and have a nice controlled hook off the end that’s smooth, it is perfect for that too. With being a two-hander, I can play right with this ball and put some speed into it, or I can go as far left as lofting the gutter and still find the pocket. It might just be a matter of changing up the speed a little as I go left, but this ball can do basically anything you want it to. Another thing I noticed about this ball, is that the longer I throw it, I feel as if the carry gets better. This ball hits so hard no matter where you throw it or how hard you throw it. It may just be me, but I can have a very light pocket hit and the pins explode as if it was a flush pocket shot. If you are looking for a good ball that will get through the front and mid lane with ease and punish the pocket, the Storm Timeless is the ball for you!! Stop by your local pro shop today and bring the storm to the lanes!

LANE CONDITION

Length: Various Medium Lengths

Volume: Medium Volume

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): Mix of Patterns

The Timeless was released in February into the new Signature Line from Storm.  The Timeless features the Dual Drive weight block surrounded by the R2S Hybrid Reactive coverstock.  I went with my favorite layout which is pin below the fingers with the cg kicked out with a weight down at 6 inches.  That roughly formulates to 45 X 5.5 X 75 for the dual angle drillers.  That is based off my pap which is 5 5/8 over and ¾ up.  The Timeless really pushed through the front part of the lane like an IQ30 and read the backend like an original HyRoad.  I was able to throw Timeless along with a HyRoad with a similar layout.  The noticeable difference is the length of the Timeless Out Of The Box but with a surface change (2000 grit) the Timeless was more responsive than the HyRoad throughout the entire lane.  The Timeless before the surface change was really too drastic for me at the break point…  The surface change woke up the overall reaction of the Timeless and the over under was nonexistent.  The Timeless is the prefect first release for the signature line because of its unique motion.  If you liked the HyRoad and looking for something just more than the Timeless is your nugget!
