way to go storm i rolled my first 300 game 4/21 and the ball rolled perfect. I had about 4 or 5 boards to play with and it was ripping the pocket up.  First and not my last storm ball.

Drilled pin above CG out. This ball allows me to move in when patterns break down or you can't play right, i.e. PBA Shark. Very quick through the heads and makes a hard and sharp turn on the dry. This ball probably is not the ball to use on short patterns.

Pin above middle finger cg kicked 2 inches right of thumb hole ,high Top Weight 3.5 plus 3/4 finger no side weight. The night of Monday August 2 2010 bowled poorly 1st game using Invasion with poor results on left lane tighter because of open play carrydown.Using Storm Reign non -stop on Right lane good results. Finally switch to Storm Reign on left lane, moved 6 to 2 right  (hard and straight)and struck  22 of the last 24 frames 300 last game.(4) 300 games with the Storm Reign this year alone. Thanks Storm!!

Tonight bowled on a tough pair didn,t expect to shoot a honor score.Again its my weak drilled Reign pin top of middle finger cg kicked out 3/4 top weight 0 side. 299,248,255  802  i thought i was striking out for 780,s or 790,s i didn,t add correctly! Never give up strike out by accident for a honor score! Thanks again Storm for the Reign!

This is an amazing ball. Its smooth but it hits hard. I love it on the medium to long patterns.

I absolutely fell in love with this ball when I first got it. It is so smooth down the lane. I use it on medium to oily patterns.

I have the Reign drilled for length & a bit of snap on the back end. It's at 2000 ab, no polish.  I am right handed & considered probably a tweener but leans to the stroker side & more speed dominant.  I bought this ball to compliment my VG drilled even w/ring at 2000 w/polish & Dimension drilled strong & left at oob.   I usually start out by throwing straight over 2nd arrow & letting the ball walk into the pocket. I make slight moves in, but then find the solid balls can be way too much. My house can be light oil one week & then Med/heavy the next.  I bought the Reign as an experiment, because I don't match up with pearls all that well. My Gravity Shift is very inconsistant.  I needed to find that step down, but with a ball that I could still control & have confidence in.  I think the Reign is it.  Once I brought it to 2000 ab from oob, it didn't squirt like some pearls do, but it still had energy on the back end for pin carry & tread to get through the carry down.

Likes:  I love how I can go back to my original line for the night & just watch the Reign work into the pocket & keep carrying where my solids would go through the face or fly to the brookly side.  I don't leave nearly as many 10 pins in the 3rd game anymore.  Plus if I pull, okay not if, but when I pull a shot a little it seems to hold the line pretty good & still have carry on the back end.

Dislikes:   Can't say I have any dislikes...  Need to know when to use it vs. the other balls in the bag, & at what finish, but other than that, I really love the ball.

My Reign has a 3 inch pin and is drilled (for a lefty) with the pin above my ring finger and the CG out to the left. I had this ball drilled very similar to my Reign of Fire so that after an oil pattern has broken down, I can switch to the Reign and play a similar line to what I was playing with the Reign of Fire. As I expected, the ball goes long and then has a sharp turn toward the pocket on the backend.

The Reign is the backbone of STORM’s Thunder line. Combining the proven technology of the R2S coverstock with the new C.A.M. (continuous axis migration) core has made this ball popular among pros and amateurs alike. In fact, the Reign has been so successful that its weight block has been integrated into its most recent relatives, the Reign of Fire (R2S Solid with 1000-grit Abralon) and Reign Supreme (R2S Hybrid with 1500-grit polish).

The Thunder line has been known to provide its bowlers with the best bang for their buck and the Reign is no exception. With an aggressive layout, the Reign can easily withstand some of the heaviest oil patterns, providing an excellent mid-lane read and smooth recovery on the back end. The “flip” action at the breakpoint isn’t as sharp as say, the 2Fast, but rather is a more controllable motion that can really tell the bowler what’s going on down the lane. Like the 2Fast, this ball is probably not suited for short or dry patterns, but this is certainly outweighed by its performance on long and heavy conditions.

Usually, I pull out this ball when my Prodigy doesn’t give me enough back-end reaction to carry. The pearl surface of the Reign lets the ball hold onto energy longer, which makes the back-end stronger.

As a compliment to my Reign of Fire, it was suggested that I get a Reign, which at first I could not control. As a high speed, low rev bowler, I wasn't used to getting very much reaction from my equipment. What reaction I did get was always gradual. The snap of this ball took some time for me personally to get used to. Once I was able to get a feel for the reaction pattern, this quickly became my "go-to" ball. Though I sometimes still struggle "finding it" with my Reign, once I do, it's pure bliss. The angle at which it enters the pocket is such that, even if I'm off a bit, pins will FLY! By far, this is my favorite ball of any that I have owned. It is one that I will definitely keep in my arsenal!
