I would recomend this ball to anyone who needs something that hooks. it carries like a beast too!

I love this ball. its drilled to roll early with the pin under the ring finger and the cg kicked out a little.

I now have my best series with this ball. I shot 257, 290, 289 for an 836 series!

well i got my vertigo for christmas and at the house i bought it at it works great, first series right outt the box was in the 630's yet im having problmes with it, it isnt hooking as much as i thought it would yet it is more agressive than my buzzsaw emerald. i want the vertigo to have an arc hook and not a backend snap, is it possible to get it drilled to where it will react like that? if so please let me know where to set my pin and im right handed. i love the vertigo and my high game with it is a 257, i think i just need more practice with it and i need to learn it. if ne1 has ne suggestions to how i should get it drilled let me know.

Absolutly an Incredible ball.  Had 2 of them, sold one to my buddy.  The one i currently have is drilled skid/flip, pin above and in the middle of the bridge, CG and RAD kicked out an inch.  Typical skid and flip in the backend of a reactive ball anyway.  The weight block provides tremendous hitting power and revs up extremly fast. Have another one sitting in my closet new in box for when this one just completly dies or if it decides to crack for some reason. A+++++++++++ Ball

I have a Vertigo and typically use it for the medium oil shots and some medium heavy conditions.  If you get the ball out and ive it what it needs this ball really does have some power.  I have used this ball more and more over time but I would not rely on what Storm posts on their web site for what the ball can do on what oil; as my Vertigo will not hook that much on the heavy oil shots as it says.  In the begining it did more and over time I guess it has lost that touch; but I still would say it is a great ball to use.

i got this ball on Ebay...15 lbs 4 oz, 2.74 tw, 3-3.5" pin, Pro-CG...i had it drilled so that it has a smooth arc...

when i first used it, i wasnt too happy with..scored a 155, 162, and 160...it took me a few games to get used to my ball...i then got the reacta clean from storm and used 1000 grit pad also from storm (the ball was 800 grit OOB), after that, i fell in love with the ball...since then, i've been averaging abt 230 (not bad for someone who hasnt bowled seriously since 1993...i only had a 130 average back then)

dont use this ball on dry lanes!!! i started way to the left, went out to the first or second board and it still hooked way past brooklyn...lol...

on oily lanes, you will hit light or miss the headpin completely...you literally will have to throw it straight at the pocket to strike...

the ball i best on medium to medium-heavy oil...the ball hits real hard, sometimed you can still hit light and the ball creates so much pin action, i still get strikes...

but like with all balls, you still get that damn 10 pin...lol...when it hits too hard, i get 9's...

overall, great ball once you get the feel of it...don't expect too much too soon...

Layed out 4.5 x 3.25 with weight hole on PAP

Strong midlane read and very strong at the break.  This has become my go to heavy oil ball for now.  Get it started online, go easy on the finger presure and watch it fly.  Have over 100 games on it and it's still going strong.  Good carry, nice smell, and you can pick one up for a good price right now.

Nice oiler that will last a long time with regular cleaning.

I just drilled my Vertigo last week and thought it was time to post a review. I really like the combo of the SFA coverstock and RAD weight block in this ball.It seems like a Trifecta with more backend. A great compliment to the Trifecta. I have found that this ball picks up very strong in the mid lane but still has an awesome flip on the back, a rarity for a strong solid reactive. I have also realized that it is best to keep the ball on the dull side so that it has a chance to pick up in the mid lane. A shinier surface really makes this particular ball skate through the breakpoint which will not allow it to make it back as regularly. Overall another great effort from Storm.

My 2nd favorite and most reliable ball behind the late El-Nino XiT.  I use it for conditions of heavy-medium to heavy oil.  I usually can stand at 20 and throw it out to 5 and have it come back VERY strong into the pocket.  I can also play it from the outside and throw it down the line and it doesn't hit high or overshoot.  I have it down to around 600 grit too.

15.3 lbs, 2.96 oz top weight, 3-3.5 pin.  I have it drilled with 12:00 leverage for maximum hook and a weight hole in the PAP.  The ball is very good with oil and it sucks big time when the lanes are drier.  Because I have average ball speed with lots of revs, I tend to try to use other polished balls in my arsenal because the Vertigo loses too much power if there is no oil in the fronts.

Overall: 9.7/10

I got this ball after my proshop wanted to move these out of stock to make way for newer stuff.  I kept the surface at 800 grit innately for conditions that required a little more surface.  Didn't like the way it reacted to the lanes.  I had my guy put a 2000 abralon finish on it.  This really opened things up for me.  It was like a new ball, great carry, good length, hit like a tank.  It's been my go to ball this year, even with all the new stuff out.  I loved most of the X-Factor line.  I've owned, and used up, an original X-Factor and still use the Trifecta when there's a little more oil.
Truly one of the best balls Storm ever made.
Side note: The BEST smelling ball Storm ever made.

Had this ball drilled pin 4" from my pap and cg kicked, and had a weight hole on my PAP, this ball was perfect at 800 grit, its my heavy oil ball, this ball just carries, it has a strong arc, and hits as hard as you can think of, too bad it was discontinued, storm should re-release the x-factor series, it was bomb

My experience with this ball in league play on fresh oil is that you have to keep
the speed up or it will hook off the lane. This is a very aggressive ball, the most aggressive in my arsenal. Because of this I am very careful to not put too much hand into spare shots when I use this ball off of my strike target. Vertigo really knocks out the pins and I highly recommend this ball, that is, if you can find one.

i got this ball from some random guy who was just going to throw it a way two years ago i recently had the ball resurfaced and all i can say is WOW this ball hits the pocket and shadders the pins as if a mack truck crashed threw the pin deck i give this ball a 10-10 and five stars if you can find one i would pick one up in a heartbeat
