This ball is my first storm ball I ever owned, I use to throw an Ebonite Red Wolf for 5 years. But the X Factor blows it away, I never seen a ball so forgiving and love to watch the pins fly. It took me a little time to get use to the ball, like anything else new you switch to. But MAN this ball has a built in radar for the Pocket!!! once you let it go all you hear is the SHATTERING of pins and you see dust!!!  Great Ball!!! Im not disappointed at all. Bowl on med oil lanes and ball is drilled for a leverable layout.

I have thrown this ball almost exclusively since I have gotten it. Previous to purchasing this ball I was strugging mightly in 2 of 3 first shift leagues. Since the first time I have thrown it until now I would have to say I have been averaging about 220 a game. I have thrown my all time highiest of 749 and another 705. This might not seem like much to most but like I said I was struggling to carry anything now I carry almost everything as long as my timing and follow through is good. I have only been bowling 3 years now and I carry about a 200 - 210 average in most houses. I have won 2 amatuer tournaments although none have been recently I have still been able to cash. So listen if you want.

Best ball I have ever thrown..hands down.  Inside or Outside this ball gives me a great backend snap and incredible carry. Amazing job Storm, this gets a 9.5 out of 10 (not a 10 cuz im not averagin 300 with it)!

16 lb, drilled similar to layout 4 on the storm layout chart (fairly strong) no balance hole.  im a semi-roller with a medium-medium fast ball speed and med. revs.  i bowl on a wide variation of conditions, anywhere from fresh medium league shot to heavy oiled synthetics (like ice)

my x-factor has a little over 200 games on it, 12 or so games after a mild resurface job.  i'v left the cover at the factory polish and used neo-tac stuff (sandpaper and hook it) to tweak the ball reaction though hook-it doesnt seem to do much.  maybe its the way the ball is drilled up, maybe its the cover, but i havnt got the same devastating backend door slam everyone seems to claim.  i find this ball to be very speed and oil sensative, it skids on oil, and while the backend is there i find it a very smooth and controlled turn to the pocket, on fresh oil and on the ice i play down and in and the ball has a smooth shallow curve into the pocket sending pins scattering across the deck, as the night goes on the reaction gets better and better, smooth arcing and more backend.  on drier spottier conditions the ball can get a little uncontrollable.  as far as im concerned this is an excellent medium condition ball out of the box, but the cover isnt strong enough to start off on fresh oil unless you play down and in, and even then you have to be sharp with your accuracy because the ball wont hook much.  im having an eraser drilled up for medium to med. light conditions and i plan on having the x-factor sanded down and perhaps adding a balance hole, i would like this to perform better on fresh oil, i like to play down and in but id like some more snap in the backend. overall the control with this ball is exceptional and the hitting power is simply amazing, this is a very versatile ball as i dont believe the cover is right for me yet i have been able to score easily with this ball, i have seen mostly power players using this ball with great success but i believe that in the hands of a smooth stroker this ball could be absolutely deadly.  overall i am quite pleased with this ball, it is very smooth, even in the hands of the high speed high rev monsters and it offers many ways to get the ball to the pocket and hits with incredible force, its a great ball, ill probably pick up the duece and i may even add another x-factor eventually.

Well it is time to give my 2 bits worth on this ball since it seems everyone else has. Best ball I have ever own for the conditions I see with it FLAT OUT!
I use it on fresh first shift that has varied slightly in condition, and I also use it on a second shift with the first shift being mixed before me. I have been able to line up with this ball 85% of the time in these leagues. This is also the first ball that has helped me to learn when to put it up, or to take it out because of the way it rolls. It has won me a few $$$ lately and more than paid for it's self. I have had two games with it of 11 strikes, and one with 10 in the last 4 weeks. The ball HITS like crazy, carries most off center hits, and send BOY scouts not cub scouts flying. If it starts to leave the 10 pin, it tells me to make a change. It also get's a bit over/under and that helps me make a change too. Specs are 14.2 Lb 2.5 to 3 inch pin, 2.50 TW Drill pattern #1B with a small weight hole on the PAP I think. I have played it deep (for me) to up the boards throwing hard and it is awesome. Favorite line with it is 25 left foot, down at 18 over 12, out to 8..give or take a little. I clean it with hook it after every set, and apply some black magic before the second shift league for some extra length. I also have used Doc's Exilir with GREAT luck..thanks DOC.

If someone were to ask me what ball to buy for a basic league shot, the X Factor would be it based on pure performance and it's versatility. Best ball to date I have bought and I have tried 10 different ones.

Got this ball drilled label leverage, small weight hole:  drilled to arc smoothly, which it certainly does.  For whatever reason, our synthetic lanes have gone from a first-shift swamp, to very light oil in the course of a month, although the proprietor denies that the oiling pattern has changed.  The X-Factor performs admirably on these conditions, getting down the lane cleanly and storing lots of energy.  In my first string with the ball, I carried some wonderful light shots, blowing out the tenpin easily.   I still love my Trauma ER, but until the burned-up conditions change, it stays in my bag, and the X-Factor is the main weapon.

I think its hard to find a negative review about this ball.  My comments echo most of the other positive things I have heard.  More specifically, here we go:

With my moderate speed, high rev rate, and normal track this ball (with a 5 1/2 x 5 layout) was more than I could have expected on the normal house shot I bowl on.  It significantly out hit my Adrenaline, Spirit, and Angle Extra which were some of my better hitting balls!  It almost seems like one has to exaggerate to do this ball justice.  It is just that good.  The core is strong and the cover is very consistent.  I really can't complain about this ball in any area.  Hope my review helps.  Thanks Storm!!!!!!!!!!
