I didn't order one because I really can't afford it. Plus I don't bowl in a lot of tournaments that sometimes need stronger equipment. Mainly THS. Looks like a great ball and maybe sometime in the next year or so I'll pick up a used one.

This ball will work on "THS", with the huge puddles that most centers dump in the middle this ball will take advantage of the hold left and swing right.

Exactly what I bowl on in both houses.  The only difference being one center is wood and the other 12 year old Pro Anvilane.  The synthetic house blends the outside area a little more so that there isn't so much of a bumper.  I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Sync works out for my game.

As for the comparison to previous Storm balls, I missed out on the original VG due to being out of bowling for a while.  I did pick up the Virtual Energy last year and liked it so much that I just bought one NIB on ebay.  From everything I hear and read it seems like I would have loved the VG.  I just don't understand if the VG was so popular, why didn't Storm keep it in the lineup like the Hyroad...hell I'd buy the VG today if it was available.

Probably because they are two different types of bowling balls. Although both were really great bowliing balls, the virtual gravity was all about oil traction on heavy oil or long patterns. The hy road is a benchmark for all types of styles. Because of the by position on storms line up, it was succeeded by the manor. And now, the sync. Honestly, the
Modern Marvel with an energy storing layout or a marvel Pearl with 4000 abralon and a p4 layout is the closest you ate going to get.

The VG simply couldnt stay around, it would be useless for Joe Bowler on higher volumes today. The Hyroad was always a medium strength ball so its maintained flexibility over the years.

After buying a Vivid which was a dud, i bave been hesitant to buy another storm ball.  Interesting observations about the VG. I think you are wrong about the average bowler having no use for the VG. The ball was a killer on a THS. blended the over under and rolled very predictabe-more than the Hyroad. When it was discontinued we had twice as many bowlers using the VG than the hyroad.

The orignial VG was phenomenal.  The nano and vivid were so-so for me.  Really interested to see what having a solid in my line up again (Sync) will perform tomorrow.

Let us know how you like it.  The Vivid was so-so for me too but I love my Nano.  I'm hoping the Sync is even better.

The original VG was a fluffer's "pot of gold" in my neighborhood! If you were hand-deprived, this was the ball for you. Almost everyone in my Monday league had one when it was out. I even have one and still love it; but I use it on heavy oil, mostly, or a fresh medium-hvy shot. The Vivid is more condition specific, and/or a ball for a down and in stroker, who's looking for continuation through the pins. Though I've seen a few people throw the Nano, I have not been impressed. I did see a young lady throw one convincingly, though.

If the Sync is in the neighborhood of the old VG......Storm will have another "HIT" on their hands, for sure!!!

Got to throw it tonight.  Initially I thought it was going to be like the Nano or Invasion as I had a hard time getting it to face up.  seemed to be rolling out no matter where I played.  However, when I gave it enough rotation to store energy, the Sync was absolutely amazing.  I perhaps went with too aggressive of a layout (50* 4.5" 30) and did a quick scuff of the cover with a 2000.  But, I was still able to use in in all three games of league without having to play 6th arrow...

Picked mine up on Thursday and used it last night in league.  733 OOB.  It is smooth and continuous.  This ball is money!
