Ball for THS
« on: August 10, 2007, 03:18:24 PM »
My House doesn't use a THS, in fact last year it was registered as a sport shot.

Through a little luck, it looks like I may be able to pick from a Variety of bowling balls in the lower half of Storms Lineup (pretty much from Agent down)

I bowl JBTs in Minnesota (I am in Canada) and I find when I hit THS at these  (not being accustomed to it) that Most of my stuff is either too strong,  or I just don't know a good line.

My question being what ball should I choose.

I was thinking a weakly drilled T-Road Pearl, as from what I have seen this ball is alot stronger then what most people read.

Check my profile for my stats, as well as pics of my Arsenal, as well as a link to my youtube, the style has changed a little(mainly balance). but it gives you an Idea

I would take some of the advice from the weak layout thread and apply it to a ball you already know first. the balls in your bag are all pretty aggressive,
hopefully a coach on here can give you a better answer after watching your video. you remind me of Eric Vermillyea though, if you remember what he was throwing I might start there. Good luck!

Well I am getting this ball from storm, due to the crack that my special agent had (there are no more specials in stock).

There is a thread on my saga there.

the storm rep is finding out what they have in 16 lbs, so I am not even sure what is going to be available to choose from, just looking for outside input.

Try a spit fire, with a very controlled layout. something not snappy, just rolly.  I have had a lot of success with a spit fire laid out as such on a THS.  Maybe a Pyro drilled similar, for even more arc. what you want is something that doesnt go nuts when it encounters dry to the right.

Hey c-hop, does  that layout on the Fired Up make it less snappy in the back?

yup i have 2 Fired Up's

First is pin right of ring very skid snap and goes real long

Pin under ring is very smooth arc and less snap in the mid lane but still goes long. I was so happy i got a 2nd fired up and payed $60 for NIB
