Is it because the Prodigy has EMT in the cover that it is not a pearl version of the Marvel? I was thinking about getting a Prodigy but now I guess I can wait for the Marvel Pearl.

Just because they are USBC approved doesn't mean they are coming stateside, they approve their overseas balls as well. Though neither release would catch me by surprise if they were coming out here.

yes the prodigy is pretty much the same cover as the second dimension....just at a different finish...and color (if u want to get technical, because most will agree color can affect cover strength..)...and ofcourse the core is different as well...so different hook-shape.

2-d

R2X with E.M.T. @ 1500 grit with polish

Prodigy

R2X with E.M.T. @ 4000 grit abralon

The marvel to me is a replacement for the agent that was released way back when...

I AM EXCITED!!

Thanks billdozer for the explaination....I just got a Marvel used from a friend, and I have to say that this ball is by far the best rolling solid I have thrown.  The move it makes off the spot is phenomenal....so a pearl version has me excited.  Do you think it is worth having two of the same ball?  I was thinking about trying to get a Marvel that was pin down vs my pin up above ring, cg kicked ball.  Mines makes a great move at the 2k finish and wonder if I got a pin down and kept that @ 2k and hit my pin up with a little bit of polish would I get a unique distinction between the two....or just wait for the Marvel Pearl?

Honestly....I love to hit solids with some polish...they don't get the distinctive pearl flip on the backend...but they certainly help get the ball downlane and delay its read on the lane.  I polish my invasions mostly cuz they are uber strong...

I love my prodigy oob, as well my marvel...so I'm going to wait for the pearl...in my opinion polishing the marvel will yield a delayed reaction only...I don't get the flip and charge the pocket reaction that I get from a true pearl ball, instead I get a later solid ball type of reaction off the spot.

No one noticed the Invasion Nano?
And is there any way to tell which of these are international-only?
