More than tripled my investment in a local sweeper yesterday with the IQ Tour Nano and Hyroad Solid. 8 gamer, cut to top 8 for bracket finals. Pattern was WTBA Tokyo. Finished 12th out of 87, though my scratch score was in the top 10. Scoring pace was low overall and quite a few handicap scores cashed. Won/placed in a couple high game pots and a super side pot for the last game, plus I won the 8 game Eliminator.
While I'm sure most people expected the Tour Nano to be good, its real strength is the unreal versatility. I started the day firmly playing straight up 6 with it, and ended the day laying it down on 35 and fading it out to 15 with great length and a nice clean punch on the backend. In between as the tournament progressed, the heads were going faster than the track, so there was some over/under for the whole field. While everyone else was struggling with the moves, I stayed on top of the burn with a polished Hyroad Solid that easily got down the lane and gave me a smooth controlled read. I went back to the Tour Nano in game 7 when I was forced deeper by the head burn. Some missed spares and bad shots kept me out of the bracket finals (missed by 20 pins), but I cashed solidly (low to cash was 22nd) and made a decent amount in side action.
It's pretty easy to see why the Nano has been all over the PBA shows so far, I had literally the same reaction straight down 6 as I did from deep. Really clean through the heads, stability in the midlane, and a clean, strong move on the back. This is a ball you'll want to order several of to stash a few in the closet, and if you're looking for the "IT" ball for Nationals this year, the IQ Tour Nano is going to be "IT."
