Shine a Virtual Gravity?

Has anyone tried to shine up a virtual gravity?  With the pin up how do you think this would make it react?

Just took the shine back off of mine. I have one pin up (pic in profile) that before the polish was good on med/slightly heavy. It gets good length and is pretty angular. With the polish it turned to a med light oil ball. Just kept going and broke late. If I were better at straighter angles it could've worked, but for now I need the 4k sanded and keep working on those straighter angles.

If you shine the Virtual Gravity, you might consider adding some surface first. The ball is already at 4000 abralon so adding polish will make it go MUCH LONGER before it reads the lane.

I have had success with some of our bowlers by taking the cover down to around 500-1000 before adding shine with good results. Good luck.

I am thinking of taking it down to 1000 then either using Step 2 or Reacta Shine.  I am looking for it to have decent skid with a strong angular move on the back end.  My biggest problem right now is patterns that the heads get burnt up but there is carry down.  Of my current arsenal I can either get the ball through the heads with minimal back end, or use a ball that will move on the back end in carry down but have a hard time getting through the heads.

I think you're on the right track there. I have used step 1 and step 2 with good results.

A friend put Finesse-it II by hand over the stock 4000 grit surface, using a 5"/5.5" pin above the middle finger. He uses it on our medium-light oiled Thursday night league to very good effect.
