Great game!
Well back in the day...2001-2004 they (Storm) undercut most of their coverstocks at 1500 grit then added a coat of polish.
Nowadays, they go to higher grit (#'s) and less polish to promote a more consistent read through transition.
Seems to me that some bowling balls that are factory polished just need to be roughed up to crack the polish and knock some of it off before you can get a more consistent reaction.
