Fired Up

How good is this ball?  I see good reviews on it, and I managed to snag one.

Thoughts?

The Fired Up was the first Storm ball I ever purchased and I have had many more Storm balls since on the back of this exceptional bowling ball.

This ball was the true definition of 'Skid Flip' at the time of it's release. The ball motion of the Fired Up helped to change my game (I was a self taught hooker at the time) as it allowed me to play a different part of the lane with the entry angle I was able to create using it. I have not looked back since!

As with most pearls it can be sensitive to carry down, at times, but then there are other balls out there to cope with those conditions.

The one regret I have is that I sold this ball on after I had purchased some other equipment. I still see the trusty beast being used now (3rd hand), some 3.5 years after I punched it up. so Longevity is not an issue with the Reactor coverstock.

JJ, I have #3 & #4 in my bag. Out of the 4, I had 1 I did not care for but I tried something. Plugged it and used it for 1.5 years. The first one I used a lot and it was killed by a machine!!!

This ball can be very skid-flip but as my friend noted..."I see why you like that ball, it does the same thing over and over!"

In Roto Grip and Storms current line, what ball would be the closest to the fired up?  My guess would be the Illusion and the Rapid Fire Pearl.  Anyone have a comparison between the fired up and either of thsoe balls.
