Hey, Where's Chris Schlemer's reports??
« on: February 11, 2009, 01:21:19 AM »
Went to Storm's web site & don't see any recent reports from him & no "In the Bag" articles either.  Just curious.

Locked the topic because No one but Jeff Carter offered an answer.  I wasn't looking for hypothesis as to why his reports aren't out.  I know, understand & am happy that Storm has been winning.  Reports have been out after events before when Storm won events.  Last years Denny's World was won by Storm & 2nd place by Storm and Storm has taken one & 2 in other events but the Schlem report still came out.  His latest report has been over 3 weeks ago.  I was merely asking a question as to where his reports have been. And if anyone knew if he was still going to put them out.  It was nice reading after an event the insights he gave as to the lanes, bowlers & balls they were using & why. I wasn't disparaging the guy in any way.  I like the reports & I miss them.  That was why I asked.  That is all.  Thank you.

Well, I do suppose that since so many of the top bowlers are using Storm & Roto that he's super busy now.  Look how many tournaments that Storm & Roto have won this year.  And how many of the 2nd, 3rd, & 4th place bowlers are using them.  Like I said before, I'm not giving him a hard time, I was just wondering if he just stopped doing them anymore.  I liked his insight into the balls & why each guy chose what during the qualifying & tv rounds.

Hmm if I remember correctly although fagan had a couple good games by sheer luck the lanes were fried where he was playing already hince the brooklyns and through the face shots that him and his competitors were doing. While watching I kept telling everyone duke will win unless fagan moves out for the match his line is fried and no more room to move. Maybe people should learn how to move the opposite way sometimes straighter really is greater

I remember back in the day the pros were only allowed two practice balls each lane before start of the TV match. I guess they've changed that. I feel they need to go back to that, if for no other reason that to speed up the telecasts. They've been going over their alloted time for several weeks in a row. They've already cut into the semi-final matches to save time, but it's not been enough.

Just another reason why I prefer the old ABC days. They were able to get four matches on TV in under 90 minutes every week. It's not that hard. Perhaps the production crew just isn't cutting it, or they simply don't care.

I got the quick "hey Schlem" in on Tuesday.  He was running around the site like a cat on a hot tin roof.  He has to be the hardest working guy in bowling right now.  With 4 squads a day this week and then yesterday going right into match play I am sure he is not even thinking about anything but the the bowlers right now.

Just give Schlem some time. He's had 2 straight weeks of 14-18 hour days in the bowling center....plus he has other obligations as well. I'm sure he'll have some stuff posted for the Storm Nation soon. Next week will be a welcome break for him I'm sure
