7 pin or 10 pins

My dad wants to know how to get rid of 10 pins.  I am not wanting to know it is my dad bc i got a Total NV and shot 279 and it is carring like crazy?

well there is no one ball that will do away with corner pins.  Its all about entry angle in to the pocket.  Come in too steep or not steep enough and you'll leave a corner.  It also depends on how much energy your ball has retained and transfered into the pocket.  If its rolling out too early, then its gonna hit the pocket like a wet noodle and you'll leave corner pins.

So you can move left or right on the approach and your mark on the lane to combat corner pins.  You can also try moving forward and back on the approach.  If it feels like you threw a good shot and the ball hit like nothing, it means the ball is burning up and you'll either need to change balls to something that won't read as early or take a big step left (or right for a right hander) and keep the ball in the oil longer.

I get no more corner pins on my Saturday night league because it's NO TAP! I leave my White Dot at home.

Corner pins are an entry angle problem - mostly due to a too steep angle. Very frequent with high end balls that have a strong drilling.

First thing to try is to move the feet. Normally, a slight change should create enough entry angle difference to make the 4 and 6 take out the corners on a pocket hit.

You can also do some release tricks that tame down the back end. A huge hook might look impressive, but if you leave corners it is time to act.

As an alternative, you might consider a flare decreasing hole above the PAP. This will generally tame down the back end of the ball without the need to adjust constantly.
