Just a couple questions about this cover...

LOVE it on the original Paradigm, but why hasn't it been used on more bowling balls?

they seem to have been using thr reactor for YEARS, while this one only lasted on 2 balls ?

secondly what does EOX actually stand for

Could be early on, around 2006, they were having major cracking problems.  At least that is what I read in the reviews section of this ball.  Plus, they are always trying to come up w/the next best thing.  Right now would be the R2S.  The Master & Premier line's latest balls are this coverstock.  Sure Fire in the Fire line is a hybrid R2s & the Thunder Line's latest are the R2S.  They found a cover that they like a lot better & think is more versatile so they are running w/that.  I was at my proshop guy yesterday & he showed me a Shift that cracked all the way around the middle.  That's the 1st I heard of any of the R2S having a problem.  Bowl up a Storm.  I'm looking at an Attitude today, could be my early Christmas present to myself.

The problem with EOX wasn't the cover itself, but the underlying filler. It wasn't correct in the first few runs and that's why the Paradigms had problems. As for EOX not being used any more, I don't know except it seems R2S plays better with more cores.

I thought EOX was more expensive as well.  New and shiny is always more expensive because you have to recoup the R&D costs, but above and beyond that, I thought the excuse for the Paradigms being more expensive than the X-factors (which used nominally the same strong asymmetric core) was that EOX was a pricier cover.

Maybe they can't justify prices even higher than what they are now.  There was a stink over the Domination being at the same price point as the other Paradigms, even though it used the same Reactor (or R2S) cover that practically every other ball in the lineup used.

I've never thrown a ball with an EOX coverstock, but after seeing / using R2S coverstock balls, I see no reason for anything else!

Well, Merry Christmas to me!!  I got mine today, pro drilled it right in front of me.  Thanks Santa.  Now I REally am bowling up a Storm.  Hey Storm, check my profile.  How about some free gear ie;  Shirts &/or jackets.  I spent a lot of money on Storm stuff this year.
