Arsenal question
« on: March 17, 2010, 11:20:36 PM »
Here is what I have in my bag right now.

Invasion
Virtual Energy
Reign
Spare ball

Would a 2nd Dimension be overlap or should I be looking at something else?

i would look at putting something below the reign. maybe something along the lines of a fast, furious, or natural.

Sounds like you're looking between your VE & your Reign, right?  Then I'd go Hy-Road over the 2D.  The 2D would be closer to the VE than the Reign... Hy-Road should fall right between.  MV's suggestion is good if you're looking under your Reign...

It really depends on the difference in strength in each ball in your line up. What I like to do is find a fresh pattern some where and run through my Arsenal and map out the differences in hook of my equipment playing inside and out.

If yours plays like it should you probably can barely use your Invasion for a game, because a VE is more than enough ball for any house shot. There is still a decent gap between those two balls that you could fill with a ROF or Hy-Road (if you adjust the surface). I think the Second Dimension would overlap, but if you bowl on sport patterns overlap wouldn't be bad considering the function the ball would serve. It would give you a very strong pearl to use once you've burned up a spot of friction with the Invasion. This could be accomplished with the VE, but I usually like to keep the shine off of Hybrids because they make such fantastic benchmark balls.

Without any further info about you or the other balls' setup, I'd also see a huge gap under the Reign - something for broken down lanes, outside lines, and when the heads become toasted. Natural would be my primary suggestion, a Tropical second tier, or a Fast, if you have a crappy release and need that much ball.

Thanks for the info. I will look into a Hy-Road. I also thought about the Natural or Fast also.
