Attitude Shift not selling?
« on: January 31, 2008, 02:52:33 PM »
I saw a flyer from one of our distributors and the Attitude was discounted about $30.  It was lumped in with some discontinued balls.

Anybody got the scoop?

The only reason I can see is that nobody is throwing it on Sundays.  The old saying holds true, "What wins on Sunday, sells on Monday".  If it is being discounted I'll pick up a couple of them just to hold on to.  I've shot a high of 290 in the short time I've used it and another guy I know shot 2 300's in a week amongst his highs.  We've tested this ball between 500-4000 abralon and even with a coat of polish. Also the Attitude has been a great compliment to my Gravity Shift from my experience so far.

In Maryland, those red & blue balls are popping up more and more. I guess people are seeing people kicking the pins in the pit. LOL

I've already got a Special Agent with that great R2S solid cover that I love, but I'm not sure the higher RG core in the Attitude Shift would match up for me very well on most conditions.  So, I haven't gotten one (though I may cave and get one for the heck of it if the price goes down a lot! ) However, that higher RG is perfect for my mom who throws the ball slower than I do with about the same rev rate.  Once I got her comfortable moving into the oil with it more than she did the pearl equipment she's thrown for years, she's been putting up some big scores and winning jackpots with it when there's enough oil to keep it on the lane!  Fantastic ball for generating some angle on the back when there's oil out there.

I saw a couple of these in my house shot league.  The guys using them were pretty much destroying the rack.  Looks very sweet.  Judging by the Shift, it would be definitely fun to have one of these.

Dan, I have seen the big hand folks throwing it hard, right down to little hand ladies with soft speed scoring with them. Mapped one out for my girlfriend and she's been scoring since. I wanted a Gravity more and wait is over as it arrived today!!!

IF that wouldn't hook yeah, bad drill for you. I can't tell you how F-ing strong they can be.  Watched a TOTAL HACK, admittedly even, rolling one... OMG did it make him look good. He went 249 234 20x with it.. for a guy who I would GUESS averages 165-175, if he laid the ball down in the same place twice it was 15 shots apart.  Outside it ripped back, inside held then went brooklyn and struck... I was actually jealous.  I couldn't have throw it on that shot, but later I caught him there when I was bowling on a PBA shot and threw the ball after using my Total NV, 7 boards more overall and ~3 feet earlier. It was a freakin monster on that shot.

I could see fluffers having trouble with it though, it picks up hard and goes, though I didn't see it burn up, it might.  Power guys I don't think would need anything stronger than this even for heavy oil.

I do not know if some of the folks around our area know much about the ball. I agree with a few of the other posters in that this ball is really strong. I threw mine yesterday on our normal fresh house shot and it is amonster on that pattern. I also had some good success with it on the two longer PBA patterns. If anything, I had to get the ball furthur to the right sometimes to allow for the big back end.

Definite sleeper ball for Storm

I really like my Attitude Shift...it's a been a good tournament ball for me and really blends the patterns out.  We've sold a decent amount of them through our shop too.  I personally think it came out at a hard time with folks going after the GameBreaker and knowing that the BW-Bite was coming along...both of those balls have been very good sellers for us.

I don't know, if you want to use that core to your advantage I guess it is worth it.  I have a T-Road Pearl and a Shift and there is quite a difference there.

I'd hope so... They don't share the same coverstock.  That comparison is broken...

Well they both have R2S pearl, just the Shift has a 2% particle load.  Sorry but there is no particle pearl T-Road to compare it to.
