Alright, after a few years hiatus from bowling leagues, my father invited me to play on his Men's league this year. Being away from the sport for a few years i have complete crap for balls, my main ball being an old Titanium Messenger. Last wednesday i bowled pretty well, starting off with a 159, then a 210, and finally a 244, for a 613 series. I was looking at the X-factor and asked quite a few guys in the league that night after bowlin what they thought of it. Everyone said no, for one reason, i crank the crap out of the ball, most said to get a low to mid priced ball, but the way i am i love opening up the wallet, i was looking at the reacharge another high rev player was throwing so i ordered one of those up. Just wondering if it would be good for a real high rev player.

Well first off, you hafta look at what type of condition you bowl on? is it heavy oil, med, light, long, short. Wood lanes, synthetic.
I myself bowl mainly on Wood lanes, med oil, 35-40ft conditions, so i use a mid to low performance balls. I use the HotRod, and just picked up the BarbedWire. I can use a heavier hooking ball like my Xfactor or Reloaded or Xtreme, but i hafta play deeper because the oil burns up faster on wood lanes.
Plus i do have alot of revs, so unless theres alot of oil on the lanes i have no reason to use a heavy hooking ball.
I mean you should look at what your facing before going out and buying a ball just because someone else was using it.
i only say that because if you have a different axis tilt, or speed, it will make a difference on how the ball reacts.

You're gonna have to be a helluva lot less vague if you want to receive quality suggestions regarding ball purchases. Rev rate, ball speed, typical oiling conditions, carrydown, etc., etc. Give us a little more 411 and let us pave the way to true happiness.

Wooden lanes, the oil seems to be getting heavier as the season goes on, probably med-heavy overall, ball speed about 15-17 mph.
