Drilling a Pro Pin
« on: May 25, 2005, 09:53:46 AM »
I'm gonna punch up a Friction here in a minute, and was kinda wondering how to do it.  The CG is almost right on top of the RAD.  I was thinking of drilling it pin above the ring finger, CG stacked, but that would put the rad above my thumb, because of the cg location.  I don't suppose that really matters, does it?  It's just the position it's in, right?  I haven't drilled long pin balls with mass bias locators before, and I'm pretty sure I know what to do, it's just messing with my mind a little.

When you drill it mainly just be concerned with the pin and RAD placement . You don't realy need to worry much about the cg just how big of a hole you will need and where. My Friction is driled pin 4 1/2  RAD strong with a light coat of moonshine and it is awesome

I went ahead and drilled it like I indicated.  I should have pulled it down further, it's still got too much finger weight even though I drilled them quite a bit deeper than normal.  It's also got juuuuust a touch of negative side weight.  If I drill the middle finger deeper that should take care of both problems.  Lol, it will need polish, yes.  It's a good ball so far though.  I didn't throw it much, but I like the way it rolls.  It kinda rolls out a little though.  I think it's just because of the side weight thing and the fact it's not polished.  Probably burning up.  It doesn't smell like anything though!!!
