Ace same core in low weight balls?

anybody know if the core is different in lower weight balls and if so whats different about it?

I definitely know its not the same core but sorry I don't know what core they use in lighter weights either.

MOST companies use pancake weight blocks in everything under 14 pounds, except hammer, they use the same cores down in to their 13's I believe, and still have a fairly good core for their 12's also, but its different.

I think that is right.

And the result is the balls have higher rgs and decent differentials to help the weaker or younger bowler get the ball down the lane and still have good backend.

But once you are buying them don't pay a premium price to get a premium 12 pounder.

Realize the only difference one is buying is coverstock, cores are often the same thru the whole line.

I've been very pleased with a 10 pound blue stinger and 11 pound stinger from Ebonite for my son.

I asked Storm that same question and was told the following:

They use the same weight block design in 12 & 13 pounds like their heavier equipment in the Master Line only (which includes the Ace).

In their other lines they use a different design (less dynamic but not pancake) in 12 & 13 pounds.

Their 10 & 11 in all lines are pancake cores.

so 12 and 13's have same core as 14-16's for everything in masterline? I think thats what you said.

That is correct.  The design is the same but it is modified slightly in size and weight.
