Should I go with the ace?
« on: October 04, 2004, 06:21:58 PM »
I am using the xxx factor right now,but the ball is dead.I have resurfaced the ball three times and it is ready to be put down.I have thrown over 700 games with it.I like the ball a lot,and I score well with it.I was considering buying another one but then saw the ace.I throw my ball between 15-17mph and I spin the ball.I bowl on both med/heavy fresh shot and lite/dry carrydown late shot.I want a ball I can play both shots.I play outside or up the second arrow on the early and have to go deep for the late. The xxx factor allows me to do both.People have said they have heard the ace was supposed to hit harder and not allow so much over/under on the lanes. Is this true?Is there a big difference between the ace and the xxx extreme? Thanks for the help!!

The Extreme is going to roll more than an Ace.  The Ace will be similar to your XXX through the heads but it will have a stronger turn / flip.  If your XXX is dead even going back to a new XXX should seem a stronger than what you currently see.

We've only been able to drill our VIP ball, but we did drill it for a bowler who was having an issue getting his XXX to turn the corner properly.  Well the ACE fixed this problem and then some.  Considering the ball still has a high amount of side weight we were surprised to see how well the ball picked up a roll and fliped for him.

If you were happy with your XXX I would get another one.
