Aceing the X factor
« on: October 14, 2004, 06:59:11 AM »
Maybe its just me, but isnt the Ace the same ball as the orig. X-Factor only with the new triple RAD disk? And if it is, then whats the point?

In my opinion the ACE is no X-Factor(Original), completely different ball, Pearl Particle opposed to Mystic Pearl Reactive.  The ACE revs up a lot quicker and maintains it throughout the entire length of the lane.  If I was to rank the X-Factor Line it would be as follows:
1) ACE
2) XXX
3) Deuce
4) Re-loaded
5) X-Factor
6) XXXtreme
7) Fear Factor

Just my opinion

Actually the Ace would be most similar to the original Trauma, in my opinion, with the Rad 3 weightblock.

looking at the specs though, this is pretty much the same ball. naturally bcuase of the different core the specs will be slighty off and the cover will provide for a different reaction on the lane. but other than that its the same ball and storm has a problem with doing that.

Lol, what about Columbia putting that stairstep core in every single freakin ball they release?  I'd say that if anything (besides the Trauma) that the Recharge reacts more like the X-Factor than the Ace does, and I've never even seen the Ace thrown yet.  But just by the specs I can tell it's a skid-snap monster.  Accu-Tread pearl is one sharp coverstock, Monsoon (and whatever Mystic Pearl is) is smoother.
