Double Thumb Layout......
« on: April 15, 2009, 04:27:39 AM »
Anyone try Mo Pinel's double thumb layout on any of their strom equipment. I heard it works good on Pearl's. I was thinking of trying it on a HyRoad.
What do you guys think?

My dad has a double-thumb layout on his Hy-Road, and that ball is amazing for him.  Very, very strong motion, but it just has no quit.  Unless the lanes are bone dry, he can make it find the pocket and carry most of the time since the motion downlane is so continuous.

I tried the double thumb on a Complete NV and shot two 800s, with the second breaking the house record. I also shot a 300 and 297 in these 800s. I haven't tried it on Storm, cuz I'm not that into Storm anymore, but it is a really amazing layout. It has to be on a ball with a longer pin, say 3"-5" and make sure there isn't alot of top weight. I also tried it on a One Pearl, and it had too much top weight. 3 oz. All it did was ping tens.

Great layout. I'd recommend it.
