new storm equipment
« on: December 05, 2006, 07:00:31 AM »
i just picked up four new pieces from storm, this is what my arsenal will look like now...

scorchin'
vapor
thunderstruck solid
spitfire
fired up
jolt solid
blue dot

from what i have read, i hope the jolt solid is not as strong as the fired up is, but i guess i can just alter the surfaces and drillings to do what i want. what is the general concensus here?
thanks

Yes, pick up the Domination or Special agent and get rid of those other non Storm Pieces.....I throw nothing but Storm, and my average keeps raising....Also, has Brunswick won any national pro tournaments yet????  Hmmmmm...

You dont have to worry the jolt is a large step down from the fireup or spitfire.....

Tour dominance changes from year to year.  Last year it was Brunswick and Ebonite all the way.  Seemed like every show at least one person was throwing Brunswick.  Ebonite, with TJ, PA, and Couch making and winning a lot of shows (eight wins just for those guys).  The 03-04 season was Storm, with PDW, Healey, and Smith winning twice, Himmler once, and shows where nearly everyone used Storm.  Two years ago, it looked like it was gonna be AMF, with them dominating a lot of the early shows (Duke, Voss, Hurd, and Ricky "Revs" Lawrence).

So far, it's hard to say.  There's a good mix right now of Hammer, Brunswick, Morich (more Mo than ever before, I think), and Storm.  Hammer's got two wins, with Kent and Reyes (and in a big way, with the Masters and Reyes' 300), but Wes and Track are making shows, and PB3, Mika, and Brunswick are also tearing it up.  It's just too early to tell.

I have drilled up two Jolt Solids for two different people now and all I can tell you is that it is a much stronger piece than you may think.  I drilled a Thunderstruck Solid and a Jolt for someone on the same day - higher speed / medium rev. bowler and for the most part the two balls reacted exactly the same.
