Any staffers have any information? If we are getting a new road series I'll be ecstatic. I am kind of hoping it has the tour block core from the fever pitch and a slightly weaker/new cover.
-
There's also the IQ Tour Black on the approved list. I'd lean towards both being overseas
-
I think we'll get the All-Road here. Seems like most overseas balls that utilize a certain line just stick with the original name with something else added.
My guess is a sanded (maybe sheen) hybrid cover that isn't R2S.
-
my guess: the Hy-Road core and the SPEC cover

Won't be in the Thunder line then I assume.

Cores define lines, not covers. A Road line ball won't ever be anywhere else but the Thunder line. The Hyroad Nano had a cover that until then had only been in the Premier and Master lines, but was a Thunder line ball because of the core and the line.
No information has been sent out yet on any new releases, and staffers are usually some of the last to know anyway. I usually find out what's coming out from leaks here several days or several weeks before I get any official information from the company, which is usually preceded by the ball being advertised online or the information being generally available to the public.
We're due for another Thunder line ball, but we need something with surface or at least a stronger cover to bridge the gap between the Thunder line and Master line, because there's a BIG jump from the weakest ball in the Master line to the strongest ball in the Thunder line, so if this one IS stateside, it'd need to be R3S or another Nano cover or something, highly doubt they'd drop SPEC down to the Thunder line yet and I'm not so sure it'd look good on that core anyway. We're due for a hybrid there and the photo definitely looks like a hybrid . . but there would have to be some twist.
IQ Black feels like it's a LITTLE quick on the heels of the Emerald to be stateside, BUT the Emerald was kind of color designated in the name and if the IQ Black was a re-release of the Fusion . . that's logical and makes a ton of sense given what's in the line right now. There's a massive massive gap between the Super Son!Q and the Hyroad . . so a new shiny IQ Hybrid in the Master line would be the perfect fit.
Once again, all speculation until we get any official details, but I don't know. Both of these make sense to be stateside, but if they're overseas, could easily buy that too. Of the two though, if the IQ Black is basically the Fusion, that's what I'm most interested in. I've been after Chad to make an R3S IQ for a while now because I'd really like to see that, but I think R2S fits that core the best. I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

I’m hoping for R2S nano on the all road. I may actually buy a storm if that was the case
-
>highly doubt they'd drop SPEC down to the Thunder line yet
That was that I was thinking what with SPEC still being the hot new thing but thanks for the info on core defining line. Good to know and as always thanks for the post Luke.

I have also got a rumor of a Gravity Evolved. not on the approved list yet, but a local distributor has them or they are on a sheet ( yes i have a mole ) Does not say if its state side or overseas

Don’t do that. Don’t give me hope.
-
What I was told
Gravity core
Spec cover
Cant confirm if overseas or stateside

That sounds a little too soon for a US release unless Storm is really trying to push the SPEC cover even more than they have so far
-
I would bet on that one being overseas since Storm is still using the Gravity series there.
-
If the iQ Black is a Fusion, I'm in. I foolishly sold my original Fusion before I developed respect for the line and learned how to use them. I used to call it my Tour Confusion.
-
Probably will be the fusion released because I just recently picked up one used. Oh well the blue and yellow version is cool.
-
That Gravity Evolve just popped up on the approved list.
-
My Mole is about 95% sure its a state side release... but he is leaving some wiggle room to be wrong... ;D

Looks like its stateside
and I am 100% certain it is
Spec
shapelock HD core
-
More Spec? Think it will be a polished solid? Luke had said Spec wasn't looking good in testing in hybrid and pearl forms yet, and with two solids already that would be the only way it makes sense.
-
2000 surface. Did not say polished or not
My guess is it will give the Spec cover a more angular shape ball
The Prime just rolls really good but not a big back end
The Pro is a arcy rolly reaction
-
The bowler store page got taken down.
-
Gravity Evolve listed on international sites... might not be a US release.
It is 2000 grit Abralon
-
Storm staffer I bowl with says both are stateside. All Road has NRG Hybrid cover.
-
Heard the same... apparently they were being used in some tournament last weekend
-
Hearing both are stateside, and the picture I may or may not have seen makes the Gravity Evolve look absolutely gorgeous.
-
Well they have gone back to the Crux and Gravity cores to pput Spec on them. One would have to believe a Spec Hyroad has got to be in the works.

So... it's a hybrid version of the Hy-Road Nano. I was hoping Storm would swing for the fences a little more with the cover but this will be a good ball anyways.
-
The Crux and Gravity cores are in the Premier line, that cover isn't going to drop down past the Master line any time soon.

-
Not real excited about this one. The HyRoad balls and me just don't get along.....I've tried but the added length/tumble from the higher RG core creates massive over/under for me.
-
I've had similar experiences I just threw the All Road at a demo and it was very over under same with the hyroad X. Just don't match up well with it, everyone else seemed to love it though.
