My local proshop is running a special on this ball, is it a heavy oil ball, I have been throwing a Brunswick mastermind the original orange one, looking for something as aggressive or more?

The Alpha Crux will be just as strong or a bit more so, but somewhat cleaner and has more energy on the backend. Not sure there's enough of a difference to warrant having both in the same bag but if the special is good enough why not. The Alpha Crux is a good ball and it's hard to beat a good deal. Having different drillings and surfaces might separate them enough to keep both at the same time.

Absolutely get an Alpha Crux, I think it's the best ball for heavier oil lane conditions. I think it's not only Storm's strongest reactive solid ball, but possibly the strongest there is. I think it's a better ball than the Absolute Nirvana in the Brunswick lineup.

I love the look of my Alpha crux on longer patterns. Only caveat is the shell requires more up keep than some balls I have thrown.
