arsenal assistance
« on: October 13, 2012, 09:10:23 PM »
Hey there Storm Nation. Need some help. Thinking about picking up an eraser banshee to put in the bag for medium-light conditions. Thinking of putting it between my 2fast and my tropical breeze. I've read what few reviews there is for this ball but I don't really know where this ball was originally released in the storm line. Also don't know if it was stronger than advertised or weaker. Just wanted to get some input from some previous owners.
Thanks.

I found a spec sheet from Storm on the Eraser Banshee.  Here is the link:

Basically this ball works best typically on medium patterns.  It's going to be fairly similar to the 2Fast and the Fire Road.  Actually you could slot it between to give you a few different looks (Fire Road being a hybrid to give you length + backend, Eraser Banshee as a solid for the midlane, 2Fast as a pearl for a good skid/snap piece).

My opinion is that a Tropical Storm solid or pearl would probably be the best fit between the 2Fast and the Tropical Breeze.  The solid/pearl covers are going to be more mild than the Banshee yet stronger than the Breeze.

I have a red and black Pearl tropical Storm that I could put there but was considering selling it and the BREEZE WOULD TAKE ITS place in the rotation. Would this be too much of a gap? I bowl on old wood lanes. So sometimes less is more.

I dont see any reason why you wouldnt be spot on fitting that inbetween the 2fast and the breeze.  The older cover should work great on lighter conditions

Thanks guys. @ bulldozer, just to clarify you are referring to the banshee being a good choice between the 2fast and the breeze, right. The thing that has me cautious is the monsoon cover. Its the same as the triple xfactor and that ball is a beast on the ths I bowl on. Just want to make sure the banshee is a good bit weaker than the triple xfactor. Thx again.
