Any recommendations to fit my style
« on: September 10, 2024, 04:04:09 AM »
Fairly new but quick learning bowler. Two handed, speed/rev match 18+ mph. Trying to build an arsenal for leagues for now. I also enjoy buying new equipment and learning different reactions. Currently in the bag I have

Rotogrip UFO
Storm Reign
Hammer Flawless

Im looking to fill two spots from the UFO to the Reign/Flawless but getting lost. Would prefer to stay Storm/Rotogrip.

Thinking of an Astrophysix as one but having a difficult time with the other spot.

Any recommendations to fit my style

Thanks

By todays standards the Flawless and Reign are on the weak side unless you bowl on high friction or shorter length patterns (34-38 feet).  You should really consider looking into Hammer and Columbia.  You need a benchmark reaction under the UFO and a shiny hybrid to slot above the Reign/Flawless and below the UFO as well.  Two balls that come to mind right away are the Hazmat and Scorpion Low Flare.  But even the UFO is on the older side.  If you absolutely have to stay in the SPI family, look at a Phaze 2 and The Road.  The reason you are lost is because there are too many options since everything you have is on the older side.

It all depends on your rev rate. If is more on the medium side, then Phaze II (IQ tour) and Venom Shock are a great combo and definitely would give you a look you don’t have.
