should i stay storm or go to a different company?

i'm about to buy a new bowling ball within the next week or so but i still havent made up my mind.  right now i have the shock trauma ER, ball died in like a year...i hate it now; and i'm looking at the trifecta.  i'm a storm guy, and other bowlers that have used storm just rave about it.  is the trifecta similar to the shock trauma ER?  cause the ER was great out of the box, but then slowly died down.  i really like the particle cover stock and impartial to reactive (but i will throw it).

other balls i'm looking at is the big deal, yeah baby!, and the vendetta maxx.

never heard anything about dyno-thane, but the guy who i go to usually says good things about this ball.  

help me decide....please?!

OK, first you're talking about 3 or 4 different types of balls here: early roll solid particles (Trifecta), mid roll particles (Vendetta Maxx), medium length, strong backend solid particles (Yeah Baby!) and  medium strong solid resins (SHock Trauma).

If you want to replace the Shock Trauma, the Storm Vertigo is the current rough equivalent, with the Diabolo, a strong symmetricsolid resin for a slightly lower price, with a less complicated drilling process. The Yeah Baby! will be roughly similar, handling slightly more oil with a much stronger overall hitting power, in general.

Both the Vendetta Maxx and the Trifecta are not really equivalent replacements for the SHock Trauma, in my opinion. The Trifecta requires a LOT more oil and is more of a control ball, compared to the others. The Vendetta Maxx will handle slightly more oil,like the Yeah Baby! and it a perfectly good ball, from all reports. I have no personal experience with it.

My main suggestion is that you should be comparing apples to apples and oranges to oranges.

well i guess i'm looking for a ball that will start to turn like 35 feet down the lane but will keep going with a snap in the backend into the pocket.  from charlest response, i might go with the yeah baby.

But again, as I said above, you're replacing a solid resin with a pearl resin. Even with the EOX coverstock, you're comparing apples to oranges.

No one can guarantee the length; far too many variables involved. Besides, mentally, OF you're going to be comparing a well used Shock Trauma with any of these other balls, you've GOT to remember that they are or will be  brand new, with all the accompanying features of a new ball! In basic form, the Yeah Baby! requires oil (not heavy but a good coat in the heads AND the midlane) and will still hook a lot on the backend for a solid particle. It's NOT a flippy pearl, but a flippy solid!

I have the Trifecta and the Paradigm and i find i get much better results with the Paradigm on medium to heavy oil.Might just be the way i bowl 15/16 mph not a lot of revs but the Paradigm is so smooth reads the lanes well and gets a great consistant arc into the pocket. Maybe if i was a bowler with more speed i would be able to handle the Trifecta better.Cant seem to handle dull balls.
